23.01.2022 When the ParentsNext program works best, it is a genuine partnership between the participant and Case Manager, working in tandem towards achieving agreed goals. When you hear Bamara Kempsey ParentsNext participant Christine and her Case Manager Rachel talk about each other, you understand how well they work together. With the support of our Bamara team, Christine has completed her Certificate III in Nail Technology, and well on the way to achieving a Certificate III in Beau...ty Services as well. 21.01.2022 "This painting is titled 'Communities Combine’ and symbolises the dedication, different pathways, participation, and opportunities Bamara provides to our communities. The symbols on the painting is a focus on Bamara’s values, missions, and purpose and how each goes hand in hand for the benefit of families and schools in each of our different communities for the same outcomes. The two hands on each side represent DHUB and ParentsNext leading into the meeting place symbol wh...ich represents Bamara, the smaller circles around the hands is a representation of the states and territories as these programs are nationwide. The colours painted on the top and bottom are dedicated to the OCHRE (opportunity, choice, healing, responsibility, and empowerment) initiative which is the program delivered through DHUB. The footprints and patterns leading into the centre show the different pathways through both DHUB and ParentsNext as all pathways are unique. The linking of the patterns and dots around the painting shows that this is a whole community approach, and each person plays an important role in the communities’ success. This painting is in my own words as I am privileged to be able to see this amazing work firsthand as a Youth Mentor for DHUB. It is an honour to be involved in the vision for Bamara and be able to use my artwork to show my journey with DHUB." Caroline Aboriginal Youth Careers Mentor DHUB, Bamara

04.01.2022 "My Case Manager, Merv has been epically awesome. I can't even explain how good he is because I've worked multiple jobs over the years, I've been with a lot of providers, but no-one has ever been as helpful or patient as he has." "If you want the help, he will go out of his way to make sure he gets what you need. During COVID he was like a friend, ringing up to have a chat and make sure you were doing OK." Rebecca has recently gone back to work at a local cafe on Smiths Lake.... and has thrived through our services and support as a participant of the ParentsNext program.
