22.01.2022 DTM is really excited that young gun Lachlan Ward will be stepping into our #18 Mazda this weekend for his first run in Small Car Cup. We will be doing our best to make sure we give him a front running car.

14.01.2022 Today we didn't mind being cold and wet at Pheasant Wood Circuit. The Wood 7 Hour Enduro threw everything at the competitors and officials except Pina Colada's, Sunshine and Bikini clad babes with coppertone skin. Pouring rain, fog and single digit temperature for the day played our way today along with our team, our strategy and tyres saw us finish 6th outright and 4th in class.... Our AE82-R Small Car Cup Corolla was the only single cam carburettored car in the field and gave away a lot of kilowatts to the other cars but great driving from all our team, Andy Clarkson, Ken Albery, Lachlan Ward and Jonathan Mansell kept our lap times very competitive and on several occasions during the downpours, we were the fastest car on track. Shout out to Tina Mansell who has timed countless endurance events for us and today she worked out each stint for us advising us when to pit to keep to our strategy. Our strategy worked well but had us running towards the back of the field most of the day however as the last 2 hours unfolded we moved up the field. We pushed the envelope running almost 2 1/2 hours on the last tank of fuel to get maximum laps out of the car. And...... When Lachlan came in after taking the chequered flag he drove to our pits and the car ran out of fuel while putting it on the trailer. That was close! Shout out to other Small Car Cup racers, Nathan Senior with his team coming home 1st in our class in there BMW and Paul Watkin and his team 3rd in our class 2 laps ahead of us in his SSS Pulsar, Phil Alexander and the Raceaway team finishing 4th outright and 2nd in the outright class. Congratulations to Steve Shelley (Pheasant Wood Circuit owner) and his team in their Toyota 86 for taking the outright win. Well done guys!!! We would like to thank Pheasant Wood Circuit and the team there Cameron Shelley, Scott Hill, Wendy Shelley, all the officials, our Judy Ellacott who was event Secretary for the event , the Recovery team, Wal Black and Peter Boxall and the Ambulance crew who weren't needed thankfully. 13.01.2022 Big weekend coming up for Team DTM. Saturday we are running 3 cars in Small Car Cup and NSW Touring Car Championship. I'm driving the #18 Mazda, Jordan Mansell will be running our Corolla with his usual #14 on it and Mike Barton will be running his #230 N16 Pulsar which was prepped by us.

12.01.2022 As we dive into our 2021 motorsport year, its worth a look back at our 2020 season and although our Nissan Pulsars did not hit the track all year, our Mazda 323 and our 1987 Corolla Hot Hatch had an exceptional year!!! We actually finished on the podium at every event we went to. The year looked like, 1, We won the Time Trial series again in the Mazda 323. 2. Amazingly we finished 3rd in class in the inaugural PWC 7 Hour race running our underpowered Corolla in the rain soak...ed event. Our drivers for this event were Lachlan Ward, Andy Clarkson, Ken Albery and Jon Mansell. 3. The Corolla finished 2nd for the year in Small Car Cup class A driven by Jordan Mansell. 4. Our Mazda 323 had an amazing year in Small Car Cup with the car getting better as we developed it throughout the year. *Rounds 2 & 3 Jon finishing 3rd in class. *Lachlan Ward took the car to a class B win and 1st outright in the feature race at round 4. * The 150k enduro saw Andy Clarkson & Jon finish 1st in class B and 2nd outright. * The final round Paul Ormerod took our Mazda to another class win. Our Mazda 323 was actually the highest scoring car for 2020 in SCC but it was across multiple drivers. We are proud of all our drivers for their effort and the results they achieved for us throughout 2020.Our driver line-up for the year was: Lachlan Ward, Andy Clarkson, Jordan Mansell, Ken Albery, Paul Ormerod and of course Jon Mansell. 06.01.2022 Awesome job by Lachlan Ward in our Mazda 323 last Sunday. Qualifying 5th in class and 9th outright Lachlan spent the 4 races during the day working his way to the front winning his class and winning the final race outright. The only class B car to win a race outright in NSW Touring Car Championship. We're looking forward to having Lachlan drive for us again soon.

06.01.2022 Great to have our 323 Mazda on the podium at the DTM 150 on 13th September. Andy Clarkson and myself coming home 1st in class B and 2nd outright. Great to see our team back on top after a short lull in results in recent months with Lachlan Ward winning class B and 1st outright in Small Car Cup on August 2nd. Our PWC 7hr team of Andy Clarkson, Lachlan Ward, Ken Albery and myself bringing the supposedly outpaced Corolla home 6th outright and 3rd in Class 2 in the rain soaked ev...ent. Jordan Mansell bringing the Corolla home 3rd in Class A on 4th July. We also won the shortened (now cancelled) 2020 Time Trial series again. With only a few events left for 2020 we are already planning our 2021 and getting back into our Nissan's. See more

05.01.2022 Another good day at Pheasant Wood Time Trial in the #18B Mazda. First in class and possibly 2nd outright on the day. Also ran a PB lap for the car in the warm up with a 1:05.9980. Waiting for the official point score to see where we are for the year.

04.01.2022 DTM and our Corolla are ready and loaded up for tomorrow's 7hr enduro at Pheasant Wood Circuit.

04.01.2022 Drivetek Motorsport (Team DTM) have bitten the bullet and decided to enter the Pheasant Wood 7hr endurance race. We will be entering our '87 Corolla and we are busy prepping the car and organising our driver line up.

04.01.2022 Our new N15 Pulsar hatch debuted in Small Car Cup today at Pheasant Wood Circuit near Marulan. We are also excited to announce that Lachlan Ward is set to drive the car for us throughout the 2021season. The car was finished late Saturday afternoon and Lachlan hit the track with an un-tried car qualifying 4th and running strongly in the first 3 heats.... Unfortunately in the 4th heat the car developed a clutch slip just after the start so it was back onto the trailer and and an early shower for Lachlan. We have a new clutch ready to go courtesy of Specialised Brake & Clutch Services so with some development and a few adjustments, we expect that the car will be a front runner very quickly. 02.01.2022 Wasn't quite our day today. Paul Watkin, David Bailey and myself drove the wheels off the Capital Racing N14 SSS but unfortunately a drive through penalty and a couple of laps that didn't quite go to plan, saw our team car #43 finish 2nd in class and we #34 came home 3rd. Congratulations to the guys in our 2nd car and to the team for getting our 2 cars on the podium.... My gorgeous wife Tina, as always an awesome job timing both cars all day Big thanks to Paul Watkin for the drive, I really had a blast today. Thanks to David Bailey who also drove like a champion today. We'll get 'em next time.
