25.01.2022 my 2nd trip away on the trout waters of northern Victoria and good mate Kyle joined me in search of his first trout and we didn’t get let down by the rivers or creeks and I even got to sneak in a pondage fish while staying at the golden trout hotel in Eildon. The big brown was around the 4/5lb mark and the rainbows where ranging from yearlings upto 2.5lb fish. Light line and spin sticks throwing small hardbodys always does me well and Kyle was pretty quick off some small tips I passed on to start picking up a few nice fish. I was glad to share this experience with him as he was always remember his first trout session with myself. Tight line Keep JumpinStumps.

24.01.2022 HappyBirthday to myself, for the party of my choice we headed away to a good mates vann up on the Great Lake Mulwala. With reports of Meter plus fish getting caught we slammed the boat in and went for a sticky nose. It was a little while into the day when Julzy from SouthBound Custom Tackle handed me a new bait he said that smashes big bass in the states. So I tied it on and not long into tests I had a big thump and I was on. A cracker of a fish coming to the tape @96cm. The ...68special from Huddleston in the perch colour didn't stand a chance against this brute. That put a smile on the boats face as we kept pushing into the late arvo. The bite times were short and kept us out there just waiting for the right moment another big fish would slip up. The next day we decided to go for abit of a wander around and cut straight across the lake to an area we all liked the look of half way across I tossed a LastCast twin spin in the forever faithful Purple&Orange combo got slammed by a nice Heathy 65cm fish. He graciously come to the deck for. Mug shot and sent back into the cold water. Quick shout out to Julz @ SouthBound for the new baits and I look forward to the near future & Thanks Trent'noHooks'North for the hospitality. TightLines See more

23.01.2022 For easy travel protection for your precious rods check out SouthBound Custom Tackle.

18.01.2022 The boys get em and I drop em. Only one good hookup being a good 80odd cm cod on a small stumpy dropped the hooks at the bank... But congrats Kyle with his first cod accidentally caught throwing jackals for Yellas and big no hooks setting the standard with his first yella on the cast going 51. Solid fish mate now for the big 60. Tight line and keep jumpin stumps.

15.01.2022 Trout season is open and it's taken me awhile to get into them but finally a couple good mates and Myself snuck off to some water I know quiet well and gave our all to land plenty of yearling size fish along with a nice bag of keepers to feed the family. I'll be in the good books for a long time now. There was a stand out Lure and it was a sinking rapala worked almost like a drift worm allowing the fish the follow it and grab before it was pulled from the fast water, I found ...that most of my fish better fish were caught in the faster runs where the smaller fish were all in the shaded or slower moving areas, one rainbow was caught and one Atlantic salmon, the rest of the fish caught where brown trout ranging from 200grams upto 2.5lb. Most of the fish were sent back but like most a couple BBQ size fish where kept for a meal as I pay my fishing license and that contributes to our fish stocks in Victoria. See more

14.01.2022 No Hooks North stuck a few pins in the lips of a few lovely creek fish. Lucky to get a small clip of the poacher in action. Shout out to Poor old Greggaz for stubbin his toe and missing out on getting a fish on film

14.01.2022 Check out these sticks.

12.01.2022 Late post. Cod opening was slow battling the wild weather we had but a 20 min bite time let 2 fish fall for my new savage swimbait. The line thru trout are a great lure to work around shallow to med/deep water and a life like action is irresistible for the natives.

12.01.2022 Did my own big freeze challenge today in Thick fog Cold Weather & some lovely company on some favourite water of mine, starting off slow walking in iced cold water we encountered a few fish running up river to get there spawn on! no interest in lures what so ever till in the distance Crunch!! The luck of the nilsmaster and rainbows just lives on landing a 3.98lb tank. A handful of smaller fish caught by polly on his trusty BaskoLure Cudgee done some damage on some of the best... coloured fish. Movinon we found a few runs of faster deep water where I nailed a pair of 2.4-2.8lb rainbows and one nice size brown on a mix of lures ' roostertail & SinkingRapala '... All out was a terrific day on the trout streams then on our way home we dropped into a local hole landing a couple small Redfin and polly The Carp master plucked one on plastic from RicksFishOn . #BIGFREEZE3 #NorthVicTrout #JumpinStumpsChasinTheFin See more

09.01.2022 Check out the new to AUS sticks.

05.01.2022 Nothing Major but took a few mugshots of greedy Redfin and the lures I was throwing today. Great bag of fish for the pan. TightLines

02.01.2022 Hit the Chanel’s and lake mulwala over the weekend and saw a few fish landed, congrats to Braydo landing his first cod on the cast while chasing yellaowbelly and Trent landing another nice gold nugget. Big Steve was tossing a small mishka around 9n his trout setup and the 67cm cod grabbed on. Slipped into the net and a quick pic before release. tightLines

02.01.2022 CraySeason is open & HappyBirthday to the QUEEN...we found lots of small crays that were sent back to grow for next year, Trout heads were the bait we used and it worked. The fishing was tough with Myself Missing a BIG cod on the surface on the first night. We come back each day to tussle with it but we did get another raise. 3Days later and no fish!! We found a nice backwater with Lilly pads fallen timber and whatever else you would want to find cod. Trent was casting a Mini... spin into some flow when a pretty cod grabbed it mid way to the bank, That fish was the Saver of a big fat Spirits were lifted from then, With only an hour or so before we finished the trip I had a small bump on a big jointed mishka made for cod, couple more cranks and bang I hooked on to my first MurrayRiver backwater Redfin LOL of all things. Both Trent and I were rapt to save ourselves from a no fish trip. TightLines. See more
