23.01.2022 ~ PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT ~ Good news and Bad news! Today, despite the heat, the Team Kraken gym will be open this evening from 6pm with Buhurt Training commencing at 7pm as per usual. We are anticipating a drop in the temperature by then.... However, Tuesday’s Longsword training will not go ahead (26th January) due to the public holiday. This means that tomorrow the Team Kraken gym will be CLOSED and training will being again, as usual, on Wednesday 27th January. Apologies for any inconvenience!

23.01.2022 FROM GEEK TO FITNESS FREAK A fantastic weekend just had at @supanovaexpo where fighters got to meet and greet with old and new fanatics of HMB. If you met us at Supanova, you are not gonna want to miss this...... In less than 2 weeks time, on March 20th-22nd at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre and hosted by Team Kraken and AMCF, the Arnold Sports Festival is one of the biggest HMB tournaments in the country and one not to be missed! This event attracts 10s of thousands of people every year, features 100s of stalls centred around health and fitness, and different types of combat, martial arts and weight lifting displays. And a chance to run into the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger. 19.01.2022 ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA UPDATE Team Kraken are saddened by the news from the Arnold Sports Festival Australia organisers, which was released yesterday evening. We understand wholeheartedly about the risks involved and the smart decision to postpone this fantastic event.... Information surrounding a new date and ticket refunds to come shortly. Posted @withregram @arnoldsportsau It is with the deepest regret that 2020 Arnold Sports Festival Australia will be postponed. It goes without saying that this is absolutely heartbreaking for everyone involved. In the last few days we have been trying to find a way to continue even in a limited capacity but our primary concern has been; and is, the health and welfare of the athletes competing, exhibitors, staff, our personnel, event partners and of course the tens of thousands of people attending. 11.01.2022 ~ PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT ~ Tonight (Thursday 4th February) the Team Kraken gym will be CLOSED. We will not be opening the doors at 6pm for any personal training and the Profight & Buhurt training sessions have been cancelled.... This is due to potential locally transmitted cases announced last night in our local area by the Victorian Health & Human Services Department. Saturday’s ‘in armour’ training is still likely to go ahead. But please be aware that we might have to cancel this training session as well. Apologies for any inconvenience and stay safe!

05.01.2022 A SMASHING GOOD TIME Yesterday at @stkildafestival Team Kraken debuted a new fighter. Leon has a smashing good time for his first fights in armour. Reminiscing this morning, he gave us an insight to what it’s like being a HMB fighter:... My first fight was over fairly quickly. It was confusing to begin with, and I wasn’t sure what was happening. It’s a strange feeling once you have all the gear and a helmet on. I was very excited being in the list. I didn’t know what to expect or what was happening even with all my training. One second, your hammering into the side of some guys head, next thing you know, someone's body rushed you and thrown you to the ground. It all come from experience in the list, I think. I am so excited for the next time to fight in armour.
