21.01.2022 John Magro has clinched a thrilling All Properties Group Pole Position Award stealing pole with 15 seconds remaining in the session. The R-Tek Motorsport driver... held provision pole for the first 10 minutes of the session before Gilmour Racing’s Josh Buchan went quicker, but Margo hit to claim his 5th Pole of the year. First blood in the battle for the National Class Championship went to Gerrit Ruff who took the class pole, championship rival Roman Krumins is not far behind though - the pair are now separated by 5 points. 09.01.2022 After the popularity of our Driver of the Year accolade for the inaugural AMRS season in 2018, it was a no-brainer to bring back the coveted award for 2019. W...ith such a diversity of categories, cars and competitors, coming up with a shortlist of nominees for the award was always going to be a challenge, and narrowing down the list proved to be even more difficult. To try and make the task easier, we established some criteria right from the start: only drivers who competed in at least three rounds of the AMRS would be eligible for the award, and no more than three nominees would be selected from each category. But that still left us with a shortlist of close to 20 drivers, and so our judging panel consisting of key series management, officials and media personnel were locked in a room to undertake their deliberations. There were passionate debates and some heated disagreements, but in the end we came up with a result. Stay tuned for our 2019 Yearbook where we count down the top 10 drivers of the season!

02.01.2022 Champion elect John Magro again got the better start holding the lead to the chequred flag ahead of McDonald's Gilmour Racing's Josh Buchan, who has been turnin...g very competitive times all year. The battle for 3rd has really tightened up with Wilson Team Racing’s Shane Wilson now on 2 points in front of Brook Motorsport 's Rielly Brook. It was the latter who took 3rd in race 2. 02.01.2022 Last night, in crocodile country up north, the Mareeba Speedway had their biggest crowd and program ever at their spectacular refurbished complex. Two North Qu...eensland Titles were conducted and it was the night for Matty's with local Matty Smith taking out the Modified Sedan title, Brisbane's Darran Lester second and Mackay's Brodie Boss third. It was Matty Fleming from Townsville who romped home in the Formula 500 title with young Cairns lass Tessa Underwood in second and Mareeba's John Magro a close third. "The 1200 people crowd, the huge fields, the racing and the atmosphere were beyond our expectations, I had to go back into town for more supplies not once but three times," and a jubilant Vice President Tim Smith told Speedway World. "It was great the whole town got behind this event and made for the record breaking meeting," Smith continued.
