05.01.2022 The New UFC Synthesise Chassis Firstly, I like to apologies to everyone for having this project go on so long, but it’s been a hard and also a rewarding time. W...e are now pleased with the final product and will be releasing it to the public all around the world. We have tested this for over a year with our first prototype hybrid chassis in a Losi platform, I have to thank Davo Flatto for his commitment and ability and advise or this wouldn’t of been where it is today.. So thanks Davo. As we have been pleased with its performance and results, actually it has performed above our expectation and are excited to release it, we thought we give you a little bit of a run down. As we all do and we try to improve on things so in all this time we have made numerous changes from the original design. To make it user friendly, tough and the most unique of its kind with some of the best finishes on the market. After all this testing and upgrades we thought it was time to rename it from a hybrid set up. As a hybrid is only one and has only one function. So, we decided to rename the platform the UFC Synthesis Chassis as it has several functions all in one Chassis, with the ability to perform at all top levels which ever platforms you choose. The UFC Synthesise Chassis has been designed from scratch, constructed from 7075-T6, the same as majority of the other parts combined within the complete kit. The unique construction and construction design give it strength, durability with flexibility making it the most universal platform on the market. That incorporates a Losi V1 and V2, also, in a Baja rear end platform making it a two-wheel rear drive that takes it to another level. The Synthesise has some unique features on the cut outs and pockets to improve its strength with radius & chamfered edges finishes all around and in the cut outs removing sharp edges and strengthening of section throughout the chassis. Also, with the bottom face of the chassis we have managed to give it a personal UFC performance texture machining finish, which adds to its quality above the rest With the new Synthesis Chassis, we have improved its performance by managing to move the engine closer to the mid-section in a Baja platform formation. This was to balance the weight and keeping the same length of the Losi platform. In a Baja platform the rear end incorporates the Losi bottom arms, or you can use T/R Losi arms that will fit. We have also allowed for the more adventurous to use kraken front arms with a slight modification. We will have a tutorial on that in the near future which is very simple. Eventually our goal is to redesign and make our own arms and a front bulk head that will be in the near future. We still believe that the Losi platform parts are more than up to the task. The only requirement for the two-wheel version is a set of Baja hostile rear hubs that have proven themselves in a Baja platform for many years and which also have the ability to toe in and toe out and are adjustable to 0-4 degrees. We will supply easily removable spacers as most European cars have.This is to accommodate this and help adjust your rear tie rods depending on shocks or future arms in conjunction with our UFC rear tie rods and outer and inner hinge pins that come in the kit. The rear shock tower has been redesigned and lightened with some extra positioning of shock points. And the use of UFC tie rods that connect to outer hubs. The UFC tie rods which are 5/16 chromoly steel rose joints with brass bushings and with a 14mm thick machined hex rod making it the ultimate set up at the rear with the Synthesis kit either Losi or Baja rear wheel drive set up. Having plenty room between the shocks and rear gear plate with more adjustments points on the shock tower. Engine bracing as we were the first to design a system that connected 2 outer engine braces to the chassis. We decided to change it slightly by increasing their length as the engine was brought forward thus bringing it closer to the mid-section eliminating some bowing in the mid-section in a Baja platform. The rear Tranny plate is 6mm thick machined down from 10mm plate. with counter sunk m6 screws that fit perfectly onto the Baja gearbox guide post. Making the hole rear end strong and firm and not moving out of position. The tranny plate locks into the rear shock tower with 3 x M6 counter sunk screws, and then secured to the bulk head, no more ugly plate required. Also getting to the gearbox is very simple 4 screws and that‘s it..hole top and shock tower off. With the rear bulkheads the front and rear have been designed to allow easy access to the hinge pins and removing of lower arms. They are a one-piece system keeping those hinge pins in place by Locking them in with 10mm grub screws at the rear of the bulkhead with grade 5 titanium hinge pins 6.3mm thick. The front Shock tower has a few more adjustable shock points and is 10mm machined and pocketed for weight reduction and still keeping its strength at the same time. So, in summary you have the most Unique Chassis in the world that has been tested and performed to the highest expectations. With some advanced machining and quality finishes.
