25.01.2022 Calder Branch Quiz night winners. The Orange Slappas. Thanks to our branch members who supported the fundraiser and came along. Peter, Regina, Sue and Kerry and Palmerston Game Fishing Club for hosting us.

25.01.2022 My long history of business experience, engaging with stakeholders, financial reporting, sharing a vision and making tough decisions, is credibility and transfe...rable into parliament. These skills combined with my positive, supportive demeanor are what people in the NT are looking for to guide us out of the abyss. To be part of a team which represents Territorians and ultimately delivers over time to make the NT prosperous once again and a place people want to visit and live, comes with huge responsibilities. A task and mission I take seriously and a great honour. It's not easy, but it will be worth it, we are all counting on it. Thoughts

24.01.2022 And the tree is lit

24.01.2022 I am outside the Howard Springs shops, stop by and talk to me about crime, economy, local issues or just about your dog or your horse. I want to hear about local issues from local people.

15.01.2022 Our older Territorians have made tremendous contributions in the development of the Territory. Many have participated in the defence of Australia in internatio...nal conflicts. They have been the trail blazers in the development of our pastoral, fishing, agricultural, transport, mining and tourism infrastructure. I believe in providing them with the highest level of care so that they can continue to be recognised as valued members of the community, whose knowledge of the past can provide our young people with a valuable insight into what has made our Territory what it is today. #CLPphilosophy #history #future

15.01.2022 We believe everyone deserves to enjoy their lives and contribute meaningfully in ways which they feel valued. The Henbury Corporate Luncheon was a fabulous eve...nt which included performers from the school. My highlight was the Zumba dancers and recorded videos by the students who clearly love being part of the Henbury community.

14.01.2022 Last night of the markets. It's cooled slightly to be a lovely evening.

14.01.2022 CLP Candidates... take a bow!

12.01.2022 Stop by for a chat with Gerard Maley: Country Liberals for Nelson on Girraween Rd

11.01.2022 Listening to newly sworn-in NT Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker APM addressing a room of officers and guests, I was reminded (again) of the incredibly difficul...t yet rewarding role our police and emergency services personnel undertake. He spoke of the challenges, yet he also had so much admiration for the officers he serves and an underpinning love of the Northern Territory. It was a privilege to be invited to represent Lia Finocchiaro MLA at the ceremony.

10.01.2022 10 reasons why I Palmerston: 1. Most suburbs have walking trails through parks, around water or through the bush 2. Most suburbs have several parks which are ...well kept for the children to play in 3. We have a pool which you can usually jag a lane to do laps and a wadding pool for little ones 4. Several supermarkets to choose from in close proximity to home 5. A variety of dining establishments which always provide great service in my experience 6. We are only 20 minutes from the Darwin city 7. We are only 20 minutes from friends living rural 8. Most nights there is a choice of venues who offer a quiz night to socialise 9. The water park is never too busy for the kids to enjoy and for parents to chill nearby 10. We have no reason to go beyond the Berrimah line to shop Of course there are things I'd suggest need improving, but that's for another post. I quickly jotted these down, what would you add?

07.01.2022 Minerals Council of Australia hosted their annual gala dinner last night. Both Drew Wagner, CEO Minerals Council and Sam Strohmayr, GM McArthur River Mine addressed the audience reminding all of us the importance of the mining sector for the NT economy. "If it's not grown, it's mined".

03.01.2022 The Federal Governments decision to loan the NT $300 million for the Ship Lift is welcoming news. It is vital we as Territorians make the most of this investmen...t and ensure it is built with #local jobs by #local business where possible, but that we also have plans in place and secured contracts for its continued and regular use into the future. We simply cannot afford to get this wrong with an investment of this size and nature during a tough time like we are experiencing. Thank you for your efforts in make this a reality for the Territory Senator Matthew Canavan, Dr Sam McMahon, Gary Higgins and Lia Finocchiaro MLA Working in a positive partnership with Canberra is important at this time.
