15.06.2022 The rain gave way for most of today which allowed us to have a brilliant program with the Year 8's from St Brigid's College. The students had a positive attitude and were very supportive of each other throughout the activities. We saw some great attempts at the off grounds, our Leap of Faith and Himalayan Bridge, with lots of encouragement from the ground. The team activities, particularly the Low Ropes, showed some outstanding communication and team work and we are looking forward to working with the school again. Big thanks to Ms Bahbah for organising and the other staff who coordinated to make this day possible.

01.06.2022 We had the pleasure of working with a group of young basketballers from the Warwick Senators Club. The group took on all activities with energy and enthusiasm and learnt a lot about communication and team ethos. Our premier team development activity, our Low Ropes Course, was completed with the whole group in mind and therefore was a really successful activity. We then challenged them with some off ground activities which many took on courageously and did with great success. The coaching staff that were attending got a lot from the day as well. Good luck this season - from the Teamworks staff.

19.05.2022 Our adventure challenge program with Cecil Andrews College in Byford earlier in the year proved a success with the students giving it their all despite the heat. The improvement in their collaboration and communication was evident as the day went on, with the students developing their team attitude and leadership skills. This culminated in a great effort on our low ropes course before some exciting off ground activities for some individual personal challenges. A swim in the dam was enjoyed by many and all in all it was a great experience for those involved. Thanks to Steven Dimech for involving Teamworks in the school's student development.

10.05.2022 We were delighted to continue our relationship with the Trade Development team at Westrac with our third program earlier this year. The Westrac staff always put in 100% and it's always an enjoyable day for us to see that level of involvement. Their ability to solve the problems we put in front of them hopefully enhances their careers with Westrac. Ange, Donna and Ben have been great to work with and we look forward to more involvement with the Westrac apprenticeship program in the future.

06.05.2022 Teamworks had the pleasure of working with Aveley Secondary College and some of their students from their elite sports program. The students got to understand the team aspect of sport a little better as the day progressed and finished strongly with our low ropes course and leap of faith. Thanks to Alec Trotman and Jesse Turner for their assistance in making it all happen. We look forward to working with the Aveley students again in the future.

02.05.2022 The importance of a strong workplace culture is much more important for retaining staff than previously thought. Today's workplace is being constantly changed by internal and external ( pandemic) forces. Healthy workplaces have a strong culture that encourages employee retention through connectivity, even when a reasonable proportion of the staff are working from home. The question is " how to keep the connection?" Bringing the team together for activities that promote stronger communication, higher levels of trust and support and ensuring they are interacting with team members they don't normally work with are ways of developing a positive culture and retaining staff. TDA has programs specifically designed to do just that and we have been doing for over 20 years. Contact us on 0438341619 or email [email protected]

25.01.2022 On the 1st of May we had the year 5s from Cottesloe Primary School come to our HBF Stadium facility for a day of personal and group challenges. It was great to see so many of them take on the challenges and test themselves. Another really pleasing aspect of the day was how much support they gave each other during the activities. They displayed great leadership, wonderful enthusiasm and great energy. Their manners and respect for the staff and each other made them a pleasure to work with. They can look forward to a great year.

24.01.2022 Last week we completed the first of five programs for CloughAmec. The participants are from Timor Leste and we are running team development and safety training programs using our experiential model. The participants were fantastic to work with and the feedback was very positive. They were enthusiastic, energetic and we all had a lot of fun. We were able to connect our activities to their work and life, which was received well by all. They finished with a sausage sizzle at City Beach and I have to say it was actually quite hard to say goodbye to them and from that we are really looking forward to the next group. We were all invited to visit Timor Leste anytime and it is something to seriously consider because of the connection we made. Thanks Anna for giving TDA the opportunity to work with your staff.

24.01.2022 Last week I was able to finally deliver our leadership program to Karratha Senior High School, it was great to catch up with the students again and work with such a positive group of students. These students have not had an easy year, with a cyclone shutting the school early in the year then COVID-19 coming just after, they have endured a disrupted time. To their credit they have maintained a positive attitude to their role as school leaders and how they can improve the school and community. They showed great resolve in working together to solve the problems I presented and we focused on taking those skills back to the school and community. A big thanks to Nicole Banks, Head of Student Services, for persevering to make it all happen. Looking forward to working with the school next year. A

23.01.2022 On the 19th of October TDA welcomed a new school, Koondoola Primary, to our client base. They did our Adventure Challenge at HBF Stadium and from all reports the students did a great job. The TDA staff felt a definite development in how the students came together and how much encouragement there was for everyone to achieve more than they thought. A couple of students persevered against the odds and they were Tyler on the Himalayan Bridge climb and Lap-Bol on the leap of Faith. A big thank you to the Koondoola PS staff and we are looking forward to working with them again.

23.01.2022 Spring has sprung, and now is a great time to re-energise your team. Teamworks has a range of programs that will challenge your group, but will lead them to being a better team through improved communication and a better understanding of how a great team operates. Our programs are active without being physical. Give us a call on 93411436 or 0438341619, alternatively email [email protected]

22.01.2022 On Sunday 28th of July TDA work with Leading Youth Forward - LYF out at Beechboro. The teenagers had a morning of ice skating before the afternoons activities that included TDA, Headspace, sports activities and an empathy workshop. We ran exercises focussing on communication, problem solving and teamwork. TDA staff really enjoyed working with the groups and seeing the development of our objectives. The mentors were very supportive and allowed the teenagers space to develop. We certainly hope the participants were able to take something from the activities and use them in their everyday interaction with others. LYF is doing a great job helping the teenagers and their efforts should be applauded and supported.

21.01.2022 On December 2nd TDA hosted a new client Parkwood Primary School WA at our Byford facility. The students were enthusiastic and worked really well together. TDA staff were really impressed with how willing the students were to help and encourage each other on the challenges we presented. Their courteous behaviour was greatly appreciated. A big thanks to the school staff and especially Paul Mac for getting TDA involved with the school.

21.01.2022 We worked with a new client in February, @Cecil Andrew Girls Academy. They tackled our Silver Valley Adventure Challenge and the TDA staff were very impressed with how the girls went about it. They were supportive of each other using encouragement and trust to help everyone achieve as much as they could. A big thanks to Taralee Morrison and the Academy for giving TDA the opportunity to work with them.

21.01.2022 With the ATAR exams about to begin, discussions about other aspects of education arise. Have the students developed skills in communication, problem solving, team dynamics and leadership? Employers place high value on the above skills as do universities. Teamworks Development Australia has been helping students develop these skills for the past 19 years. Our philosphy of " what I hear, I forget, what I see I remember, but what I do I understand" is implemented through our ex...periential learning (hands on) to help build these skills. To discuss the development of the above skills talk to us on 0438341619 or email [email protected] The above skills are also very valuable to those already in employment.

20.01.2022 I have just had the pleasure of again working with the leadership group from Karratha Senior High School. The staff, Nicole Banks and Ebony Morrison, organised a camp at Coral Bay. 45 students from yr 7 to 12 attended and spent 3 days developing their skills as leaders and looking at ways they can help develop their school. They took part in a diverse range of activities from yoga, Dee from Headspace ran that, to diving with Manta Rays and completing a range of TIPS activities to build their communication, planning and problem solving skills. It was a really well organised camp with all students given the opportunity to develop and grow into the roles they have put their hands up to do. I am already looking forward to another opportunity to work with them again. Thanks for using TDA.

19.01.2022 On December 2nd we had the future prefects from Hale School do our Leap of Faith as part of their leadership development. The boys arrived having had about 1.5 hours of sleep after a long trek and I must admit they werent bursting with energy. However, they tackled the activity with great enthusiasm and every climber was encouraged and supported by the group. I was really impressed with how they looked after each other, from the harnessing, to the congratulations on completing the activity. I mentioned at the completion of the activity the schools in good hands if they continue to behave in that way as the schools leaders. Well done.

19.01.2022 In February @St Brigids College returned to HBF Stadium for our Adventure Challenge. TDA staff reported the girls were fantastic, particularly in the way they encouraged each other to achieve more than they thought they could. This is what our programs are designed to do. The girls challenged themselves and each other and this led to some amazing results. In our debrief notes special mention was made of Georgia D and Taylah W because of how they took on challenges and made it because of their determination, but also with the encouragement of the groups. A big thanks the Anneleise for her organisation of the day and we certainly hope to see the students from St Brigids again.

18.01.2022 Last Thursday we again ran a program for @Holy Cross College Ellenbrook. It was a great day with the students and their enthusiasm and energy was outstanding. We had plernty of students stretch their comfort zones, but more pleasing was how they respected each others decisions about what they would tackle. There was plenty of encouragement and plenty of "high fives" when succesful. Working together the way they did shows they and the school have a great future.

18.01.2022 As restrictions continue to be eased, reengaging your team has never been so important. Teamworks Development Australia is ready to help with the above and we can come to you or you can come to us. We can run programs from a couple of hours to full days. Contact Mal on 0438341619. 17.01.2022 This year we were again pleased to be a part of the Oceanfest Leadership Program run by @Newborough Primary School. There were over 200 students from varying schools and the aim was to help develop their leadership skills. The vast majority really took on the challenge and though working with students from other schools they were able to be successful at a number of activities. We all want to be successful at everything, but sometimes you learn more from not succeeding and using that to build better skills. Our Message at the end was " Leadership is not a title but a way of behaving" and the students took that with them.

17.01.2022 We have just completed another program for the year 9s from Iona Presentation College. The program was part of their outdoor ed experience and involved them in our High Ropes Low Risk activity. The girls were fantastic, they looked after each other and were respectful, courteous and fun to work with. They, like groups before them, are a credit to themselves, their parents and their school and the staff. There should be some great photos of their efforts. Thanks Janene for continuing to use Teamworks Development Australia.

16.01.2022 On my recent trip to Coral Bay to work with the students from Karratha S.H.S. I stayed at the Port Hotel Carnarvon.

16.01.2022 We have just completed our first 4 week block with the year 9 outdoor ed students from Iona Presentation College. They were great to work with, they were attentive, courteous, energetic and prepared to challenge themselves. Mack, Stacy and myself all commented on how well they went and how much fun it was for us to work with students like that. Thanks to Ariana for your support and encouragement to the students.

15.01.2022 Teamworks Development Australia has developed a really powerful on-line team building program. Using Zoom to connect the participants we go through a series of different activities that range from pure fun to developing a champion team at the workplace, even if you are not all together. it is graduated to have maximum impact and all learnings are cemented with debriefing. It highlights the need to still work together even when not being physically together. 14.01.2022 Since the start of the term we have had some great programs with really positive schools. We started the year with @Ballajura Community College and they did our Leadership Adventure Challenge. Our staff remarked on how engaged the students were and how much they focussed on the main elements of leadership. They were very supportive of each other and the levels of trust shown were outstanding. A big thank you to Sharlene Stanley and the other staff and our message to the students was continue to show that leadership back at the college.

13.01.2022 Last Wednesday Rossmoyne Senior High School came out to do our High Ropes Low Risk course.21 students attended and all of them were a pleasure to work with. I remarked to the teacher, Ryan Olson, that if these students ever wanted to work in the outdoors they had the right attitude to do it. They were diligent about safety, had great communication and really seemed to enjoy the whole experience. Hopefully these courses, as in outdoor recreation, are always a part of every schools curriculum. Thanks to the staff at Rossmoyne for continuing to use Teamworks Development Australia to help with their courses.

11.01.2022 Last Wednesday we ran a program for Dalkeith Primary School at our HBF Stadium facility. The students bought into the day really well and pushed themselves to achieve probably more than they thought they could. It was great to see. It was a pretty hot day , but that didnt stop the enthusiasm shown by the students. Well done to everyone and to Angela for beating her fear of heights. Thanks to Lisa and the staff for their involvement. Look forward to seeing you next year.

10.01.2022 On July 25th and 26th we were again working with the Yr 11 students from Prendiville Catholic College and we had a couple of really great days. The weather was kind, the students enthusiastic and the staff fantastic. This combination always lends itself to a very successful program. The students took on all challenges and exceeded at all of them. We had some do our Leap of Faith blindfolded, not easy, others create a massive tower on the Crate Climb (26 high) and our on ground TIPS activities were done with high levels of teamwork. I remarked to the group I work with that this type of teamwork where trust, support and leadereship are a focus can deliver a great year or years at the school. Looking forward the next group to come through.

10.01.2022 To all the fantastic instructors Teamworks employs, guys, this is unprecedented times in our industry. All of our future work is on hold and hopefully will be able to be done next term or later depending on circumstances. I will be applying for govt assistance and if this is forthcoming I will endeavour to employ you on doing maintenance and training. Hopefully you all remain fit and well and we get back to work ASAP. Cheers Mal & Tom

09.01.2022 On December 18th Davallia Primary visited our HBF Stadium facility to finish their year on a high. The vast majority of the students took on the challenges and extended themselves in a positive way. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is not always easy, but if supported by school mates and staff it can lead to a more confident student. To the students, good luck at high school and to the staff enjoy your well earned break. See you next year.

08.01.2022 This term we had another new client, @Melville Primary School. They spent two days at Silver Valley and tackled our Adventure Challenge. It was something different for the students and they embraced the off ground challenges with enthusiasm. Their ability to problem solve was tested and they always came up with the answers. A big thanks to the staff who attended and who also challenged themselves. To Adrian Eaton a very big thanks for the organisation, energy and enthusiasm. Hope to see you next year.

05.01.2022 Teamworks Development Australia has begun running online ( Zoom ) activities for our clients. They are generally light hearted and lots of fun. The feedback has been excellent and all participants have enjoyed reconnecting with other staff members in this manner. It has sparked conversations not about work and has everyone is involved in a manner that is all inclusive. if you think it would be a good fit for your work team please call Mal on 0438341619 for more information. Cheers

05.01.2022 In the current times Teamworks Development Australia has had to adapt to deliver our programs differently. We have been experimenting with running online activities to workplaces through Zoom. They run for approximately 30 mins and help staff members reconnect with each other. They are fun, get the groups talking and maintain the connection felt before the change. If you feel this could benefit your workplace call Mal on 0438341619 to discuss it further. Remember, physical isolation does not mean we stop socially connecting.

05.01.2022 We had @Cottesloe Primary School come to our HBF Stadium facility again and again we saw the students extend themselves. Our programs are designed to get the participants to challenge themselves and these students certainly did that. Our staff were impressed with the endeavour and co-operation of the students. A big thanks to Jane for organising the excursion.

04.01.2022 Ill get to finish my post soon. As I mentioned before I stayed at the The Port Hotel in Carnarvon. It was great to catch up with Tony Beard and the coffee was great, the beer cold and my room was comfortable and quiet. There was secured parking and everyone was friendly. It is a great place to stay on the long drive north. Thanks again Tony.

03.01.2022 On the 27th of August Teamworks had the pleasure of working with Dianella Primary College. The students and staff were fantastic. Comments made by the TDA staff were, the students were well behaved, encouraging and pushed their limits. They were enthusiastic, energetic and courteous. The Dianella staff were complimentary about how TDA staff kept the students engaged and encouraged them to stretch their boundaries. One student said the best activity was the Low Ropes Course because they had to work together to be successful. A great day and congratulations to the staff and students.

03.01.2022 @Follow the Dream is a program developed by the Polly Farmer Foundation. TDA has been involved by providing programs for a number of years. This December 10th, we had the pleasure of working Marie Klein and her students from Tom Price Senior High School. It was fantastic to see the students challenge themselves and ultimately succeed at the activities we put before them. We hope these programs continue to be available as they are invaluable to the development of future leaders.

03.01.2022 Wednesday and Thursday of last week, each day around 40 degrees, La Salle College students came to our Silver Valley facility for an Adventure Challenge. In the difficult conditions the students were great. They tackled the personal and team challenges with enthusiasm and were willing to help each other all day. Some "accidently" fell in the water while doing activities in and around the dam, but were warned to bring a change of clothes so ythey could go home dry. TDA staff reported enthusiastically about the students and their involvement as well how involved the staff were. Already looking forward to working with next years group.

Some of the most notable things throughout the day was the constant laughter, encouragement and positivity displayed by the students. One of the staff positioned himself on our platform 10m up and took what would be amazing photos of the students doing our Himalayan Bridge climb. Our staff were full of praise for the students conduct and staff involvement. Looking forward to having the school back next year.

01.01.2022 December 4th 2020, Prendiville Catholic College brought their full school leadership team to our HBF Stadium facility to do our Leadership Challenge. They took the opportunity to use a PD day to improve their group dynamic with our activities. They finished with an off ground personal challenge and we felt some of them really surprised themselves. They were great fun to work with and a quick follow discussion in the next week revealed a shift in communication amongst the group. Looking forward to the possibility of doing more with the group.
