25.01.2022 Haven’t had too many visitor posts, thinking they need to be shared to make them visible. Thank you Colleen.

22.01.2022 If you’re finding the TV shows aren’t all that engaging, and your mind is wondering, wonder over here. https://allingtons.net.au/10-reasons-why-plants-dont-grow/

20.01.2022 The pictures uploaded in the wrong order. Will leave as it is. Comments to come. Cement pots revisited. Making the mould for the pots. Last week a wooden mould was made, so the cement wouldn't stick, plastic wrap was used. The problem was the pattern of the plastic wrap appeared in the finish. Next, a printing plate was cut as an insert, to go between the cement and the wooden mould. More details can come if anyone interested.

19.01.2022 Posting now, rather than this evening, since this starts at 10am today Fancy a fancy Chrysanthemum, they are on sale. For more info, search for the South Australian Chrysanthemum Society on f/b.

17.01.2022 Comments to come, had put the comments in first, but the process stalled.

14.01.2022 Plant/flower pics.

13.01.2022 Oct 24 2020 Sat night post. Some are to be deleted.

11.01.2022 Various, Poppies for Nov11, Wedding flowers, Succulent issue.

09.01.2022 Guest Speaker, Pam P. More type to come. Saltbush- shrub grows into weed mat. Acacias- six different kinds, water seed, roast, like coffee. Pavlovas, teas, cheesecakes, savories. About 4 to 5 metres high. Acacia Argyrophylla, 3 by 3 metres, short lived, about 6yrs, real lucky, 12 years. Moist soil, including alkaline. Native Grass Wetter part of garden, used- eating. Plants collected from the garden.... Naked Celery, tastes like normal celery. Wicking beds or pots. Floral Breeze- water until plant dies, and plant seeds. Old man salt bush. Dry and crush leaves. Cuttings and by seeds. Plastic bag and twist the bag. In the fridge for 18 months and wait for it to germinate. Place seed in the ground, and mulch on the top. Parasidic. Eight in pot, snug in pot, so don't use an oversized pot. In the potting mix, and bang down the pot, rather than push. Plant the same level as before, not higher, otherwise stem rot. Water with sea mungas which is a tonic. Bush Tucker is a neutrog product. Savory or sweet. Slice with apple, about $45 a kilo. Speaker Pam calls it plant food, not bush tucker. Does not like roots to be touched, so plant seeds straight into the ground. They do need water, osmocote, slow release fert in potting mix

08.01.2022 More Antics. Writing to come.

08.01.2022 Social distancing. Single person serving the cups of tea, one person to touch the milk jug. Scones, jam and cream all prepacked with a spoon. Great day. Plus a few more pictures.

08.01.2022 Actioning the talk topic. Growing mini roses in pots. People may think miniature rose plants may stay small. These are about 1.5metres tall. The name of the first was lost, the second is Minnie Pearl. Interesting the price of miniature roses at the shops, as per the talk. Hence, used a cutting that had grown roots. Also, interesting, all the items mentioned at the talk. The potting mix, the gardening soil, the fert, the pH testing added up to $60. That's without the Lucerne hay or the cow manure or a purchased new 400mm pot.

06.01.2022 At a garden visit. Thought to take pictures of the ornaments. Had help from a persons granddaughter finding the birds, "Darcy".
