23.01.2022 Original panels had failed due to water ingress. Inverter was still OK. Client on a limited budget, so we were able to reboot the system using some quality 2nd hand panels. Replacement array has been installed to allow for future expansion and system upgrade when the original inverter dies......

21.01.2022 Ok, I officially admit I am the worst FB updater........ Here are the photos of that nice steep 39 degree roof. All done.....albeit 6 months ago. I promise that I will try and improve....lol. This was an interesting challenge. Arrays are "live" but yet to be commissioned as the house is not finished. A lot of the DC wiring also had to be mechanically protected in steel conduit as the upstairs portion of the house was only weather board........ Looking forward to climbing up t...here and switching the isolators on (not) once the balance of the installation is completed. And thanks for the hand up with the panels Lenore Clewer.

19.01.2022 What not to do to your with your inverter. Yes we know that sometimes space is at a premium, and yes the Fronius inverters are fan cooled. But we strongly recommend at least leaving them visible....

05.01.2022 Here's a small system that we finished last week for a retail client. 3kVA Fronius inverter. 3.96kW of Canadian Solar (12 x 330W) panels. No room on the North aspect of the house due to the existing 1.5kW system and the solar hot water service, so East & West orientations were the only option. Very snug fit on both roofs'. So yes, with a bit of smart design you can have a smaller roof and still fit a suitably sized system.....

05.01.2022 No solar pics today. Something far more important! I am often asked "but why does my switchboard need upgrading? It's been fine for years, and surely you can just move some stuff around?.......the other company didn't mention it, so why are you trying to rip me off" So today we have a picture of a switchboard upgrade that we have just completed for a customer, who wants to get solar a little down the track........ When you look at the old switchboard, all looks fine. (apart from some paint handywork).Obviously been a few add ons over the years. RCD protection to the power circuits, couple of RCBO's thrown in for good measure, and even some surge protection. So whats the problem? Do you see what I see? There is a clue. Can you find it?

02.01.2022 This is a 6.615kW system that we recently completed for one of our retailer clients. East & West orientations, 10 panels on the East, 11 panels on the West. Zeversolar TLC 5000 three phase inverter inside the garage. A particularly tricky install on the West roof due to the variations in the West roof levels. All credit to our apprentice Dylan who railed this, and got it bang on right the first time.... Note the attention to detail at the inverter, no top entries on the DC isolators, and suitably placed beside, not underneath the inverter.
