23.01.2022 We have had a fun filled last few weeks. Everyone has been mesmerised by the chicks! We eagerly awaited beside the pen to watch the eggs and were so excited to see the chicks hatch and become fluffy. They sure do love to chirp! Following on from our chicks, we have been focusing on the topic of all things farm related. Reading countless stories, using the speaker to listen to all kinds of songs, milking cows (!) and lots of role play with puppets. Today was extra special as we had two birthdays to celebrate! Happy birthday Suzanne and Charlie

22.01.2022 Los of fun had in the pre-kindy room through various activities this past week. The children have engaged in lots of different activities including story time, dress up dancing - listening to songs through the speaker, exploring the outdoor area using our gross motor skills and lots of Christmas art! Not long to go now!

21.01.2022 There has been lots of contagious smiles around the babies and toddlers room! This week the children continued learning all about shapes! They did so many different activities such as shape collages, doing lots of shape posting, using blocks in play dough and dancing to lots of music! the children also used lots of thinking skills this week as they mixed some paint to create different colours and did some ball posting through pipes!

19.01.2022 The babies and toddlers have had a wonderful time this week exploring all things under the sea! The children enjoyed the warm weather with lots of outdoor and water play with sea animals! They also did lots of painting using brushes, sponges and got messy with their hands and of course read lots of stories together!

18.01.2022 This week the Kindy children has so much fun playing outside in the beautiful warm weather and learning about the Environment and Sustainability. On Thursday we had the Wonderful World of Worms come to visit and talk to us about worms. Everyone made their own mini worm farms to take home and care for. There was plenty of fun and messy art activities and sorting rubbish into Recycling, Compost and Rubbish bins. Wishing everyone a Happy weekend and looking forward to seeing everyone back on Monday

17.01.2022 This week in the Kindy room the children had lots of fun celebrating NAIDOC week and starting to get into the Christmas spirit with some Christmas art and music. There was plenty of building, cooking dampa, dot painting, hunting for bugs outside, listening to Aboriginal music and playing memory games with numbers. With the wet weather during the week, there was lots of inside play and exploring many different activities and the children showing off their imagination. We also said goodbye to Suzanne today as she starts her new and exciting roll as mum. We wish you all the best Suzanne and the entire Kindy room with miss you greatly. Happy weekend friends

17.01.2022 A big thank you to Nieves mum for inspiring the Kindy children to become engineers. The children loved building all sorts of creations with marshmallows and spaghetti.

17.01.2022 The PreKindy room had really enjoyed the topic of colours so we continued it for another week. They really enjoyed all the colour mixing that we did. They also used balloons for exploration and for a lot of play. Being outside in the sunshine was a big win this week also

16.01.2022 Weve got worms! Lots of excitement this morning in the kindy room as we built our new worm farm. We are excited to watch the worms and utilise our food scraps!

14.01.2022 STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Tomorrow Neives engineer Mum is coming to construct a pasta and marshmallow tower with the kindy children. Who said engineering isnt lots of fun? Fingers crossed some of our children end up engineers, mathematicians and scientists.

14.01.2022 Wonderful World of Worms is visiting with the Children on Thursday. All the children will be making their own worm farms to bring home. Please send you child with an empty cool drink/water bottle cut in half. No milk bottles please.

13.01.2022 The PreKindy children this week looked at all things COLOUR they have used coloured blocks for building, colour sorted in groups and on their own and really enjoyed the light boxes. They have explored colour through various arts and crafts and enjoyed experimenting by mixing colours

13.01.2022 This week in the babies and toddlers room the children have been exploring ocean life and sea animals! The children have had a wonderful week doing lots of water play with sea animals, doing rainbow bag paintings and singing lots of songs. The children have especially loved singing along to ‘crabs and seashells’

09.01.2022 It was a very busy week in the Kindy room this week. Doing plenty of Christmas crafts and building. Using their fine and gross motor skills, the children made many different towers and buildings using large and small Lego, octobuilders and blocks. There was lots of fun science activities using ice to keep the children cool on the hot days. We had a 4th birthday party and all enjoyed some delicious cake Happy weekend and see you all nice a fresh on Monday

09.01.2022 Lots of fun in the pre-kindy room this week! Continuing to discover our ever developing fine and gross motor skills through lots of different activities. Including -but not limited to- painting with different tools, building towers from blocks and recycled items as well as navigating our way through different obstacle courses.

08.01.2022 Last week in the babies and toddlers rooms the children continued learning about all kinds of creepy crawlies and bugs! the children loved doing lots of bug hunting using magnifying glasses outside and watching the bugs wriggle and crawl around! They also loved doing obstacle courses, exploring bug sensory bags and of course listening to lots and lots of stories and music! Its been a great week in the babies and toddlers room!

06.01.2022 This past week the babies and toddlers have begun learning all about insects! The children have learnt through many activities such as sticker art, bug hunting and of course many stories and songs! The children have especially loved seeing the chickens this week! Some children held the chickens carefully and enjoyed feeling their fluffy feathers while other just enjoyed watching them!

05.01.2022 The babies and toddlers have had such a great week learning all about shapes! The children have done lots of art using shape stamps, sponges and blocks which they enjoyed to identify and name! they have also enjoyed lots of songs, story books and using their thinking skills to do some shape posting. It has been a wonderful week!

05.01.2022 There was plenty of fun in the Kindy room this week. We put up our Christmas tree and did plenty of Christmas art to hang around our room. There was lots of counting, colour mixing and dancing. We enjoyed playing outside in the warm weather and feeding our worm farm. We can’t wait to see what next week has installed for us. 05.01.2022 Today we had AWCHWA come to visit us and talk to the children all about hospital. As such - what different people and equipment we may find in a hospital, different ways of transport to get to a hospital and things that may happen to find yourself in hospital. The children engaged in different activities such as skeleton puzzles, hospital role play, surgery (!) and taking turns on the wheelchair and crutches.

04.01.2022 Last week in the PreKindy room we continued with colours we had such a fun week exploring the process of mixing colours and creating with colours. We worked on identifying colours and grouping them together. We also had a farewell party for lovely Grace and celebrated our Rae turning 2!

04.01.2022 A fun filled few weeks in the kindy room! Learning all about farm life and the different animals found in a farm. We watched our chicks grow and listened to them chirp all throughout the day! Lots of group activities such as opposite games, remembering games, sensory play and much more!

01.01.2022 In the PreKindy room this week they began looking at body parts. They played games of searching for hidden parts and enjoyed singing songs about identifying them. They also looked at the importance of body safety and body hygiene. They have also loved the warm weather this week and being outside

01.01.2022 Cuddly farm animals are here tomorrow. Kids (baby goats), rabbits, ducks and more. 2:30pm. All our children are welcome but we ask for parents/guardians to supervise their own child please.
