25.01.2022 Rebecca joined the team at Tecoma Myotherapy in 2015 has 20 years experience working in the clinic. Bec is an accomplished clinician that has a thirst for knowledge, helping others, loyalty, caring and always working for what is best for the patient. Tecoma Myotherapy feels blessed every day that Bec decided to join the team.

25.01.2022 We are crossing our fingers, toes and whatever else will cross in the hope that all stars align and Dan Andrews provides our members and their patients the much... needed access they require to continue care in his scheduled announcement tomorrow. While we've certainly been making some noise, we promise that we can get a heck of a lot noisier if needed

24.01.2022 Waiting on confirmation from the association

23.01.2022 Rachel started her journey with Tecoma Myotherapy as a year 10 work experience student many years ago and went on to complete her studies in Myotherapy. Rachel started work at Living Chiro in Aspendale Gardens 4 years ago and last year joined the team at Tecoma Myotherapy. Rachel holds all the values we hold dear at Teocma Myotehrapy, thirst for knowledge, caring for others, loyalty and working for what is best for the patient. Tecoma Myotherapy is truly grateful that Rachel chose to work with us and adds to already amazing team.

18.01.2022 Unfortunately the earliest Myotherapists can work face to face will be the 19th Oct. I will keep this post short, as right now I would probably include too many swear words in this post.

16.01.2022 260 days away from the gym, good to be back.

14.01.2022 Attention Metro Melbourne members. As we await to hear more about the easing of restrictions and what this means for myotherapy, we can tell you this following... the Victorian Premiers announcements today; All AHPRA registered health workers and in addition, social work, speech pathology, dietetics, audiology, exercise physiology, orthotists and prosthetists may provide some face to face services. You can read more about the changes to apply from 11:59pm Sunday, 27 September 2020 at http://ow.ly/si1750BCfwf What now? While we still don't have clear details in relation to the Victorian Roadmap to reopening and myotherapy, our CEO will attend a briefing with the DHHS Allied Health Team this Tuesday 29th Sept expecting updated guidance to be released. . . . #openaccesstomyo #myoisessential #myotherapy #myotherapyassociationau

14.01.2022 Thankyou to all our wonderful patients for their messages of support. Hopefully the government will change it's mind and let us practice earlier.Thankyou to all our wonderful patients for their messages of support. 11.01.2022 Don't get me wrong, we live in a beautiful place in the hills but a little bit more freedom would be great. Karen of Brighton peaked early, but i think most of us are starting to embody a bit of Karen right now.

10.01.2022 Always learning and evolving with the science is a key part of why Tecoma Myotherapy is thriving as a business. 2 years ago learning with the world's elite in pain at Explain Pain 3 and with wonderful friends Janice, Polly & Nathan.

10.01.2022 The news is not good, the government will NOT allow us to practice face to face from the 28th.

09.01.2022 UPDATE: While it sounds promising, we will have to wait until Tuesday for the DHHS to release more details on allied health and where Myotherapy sits on the roadmap out of stage 4.

08.01.2022 Over the last 6 months I have been slowly working on a 6 part series of blogs on Pain, Protective Responses & Relationships. Where I explore the importance of relationships in the clinic and the many skills we can utilise to create a conceptual change- Initial interview, Explain Pain, Mindfulness, ACT and Movement. This blog is targeted at clinicians, but I am sure the really intelligent patients from Tecoma Myotherapy will take something away from the blog too. Warning it is... a long blog. http://www.tecomamyotherapy.com//pain-protective-response/

04.01.2022 Pleased to announce OUTDOOR Pilates Sessions (1:1 or 2:1 only at this stage in line with the rules) to begin ASAP with interest or from 5th October!! Pictur...e is of Upwey Reserve so if the weather permits, this will most likely be our place of exercise but TBC to clients who want a personal outdoor Pilates Session:) We will provide all Pilates small props, you will just need to bring your own Mat unless you don’t own one & we will provide this as well, of course. I may even attempt to bring my Wunda Chair or two down there - seriously, I’m considering it! That poor equipment is just sitting there not being used Thank goodness the hubby has a Hilux! - it will be hijacked as a transporting of Pilates equipment, vehicle! PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE INTEREST IN THESE OUTDOOR HANDS ON, IN PERSON (finally) MASK WEARING COVID SAFE SESSIONS! We will have hand sanitiser & all of the proper cleaning essentials in tow. Thanks to those who have already contacted me showing interest to this prior to today’s announcement. I now know this is definitely allowed as of tomorrow & have spoken with Yarra Ranges Council. We are good to go!! Nothing like being in the Studio, we are all itching to get back there but one step closer & a great option for those not into the virtual Pilates. We will be offering outdoor times on a Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday during the day so far...but all depends on interest & what times/days you’d prefer. So far, Liz, Alicia & I will be your outdoor trainers. Weekends could be an option as well:) Whatever works. Let me know!! Prices will be just a little more than Virtual but still much lower than in the Studio. 03.01.2022 Sally started her journey with Tecoma Myotherapy 18 years ago, when she was doing clinical placement hours as part of her study. After finishing university, Sally worked the next 10 years in her own business at Boronia, then Blackburn. When an opportunity arose, Mat invited Sally to work at Tecoma Myotherapy and she has been here ever since. Sally has all the values that Tecoma Myotherapy holds; thirst for knowledge, connecting with people, loyalty and always doing what is best for the patient. Tecoma Myotherapy is honored to have such an experienced and amazing practitioner as apart of our team.

03.01.2022 Mat started Tecoma Myotherapy straight out of Uni in 2003. Mat prides himself on evolving with the science and is always studying, advancing his knowledge and sharing this knowledge with the community. Mat feels blessed every day to be working with such amazing practitioners, both in his own clinic, but also as a community network to give the best care to our patients.

01.01.2022 Thankyou to all our amazing patients for the support since coming back to the clinic.
