25.01.2022 A character bunny has some ripped seams and was a bit dirty, so he needed a fix since he was being passed down to the next generation. I cleaned and repaired him and made some new furry buttons. He also had new front teeth and I painted the white of the eyes. He is now travelling to Holland to visit a new grandchild.

25.01.2022 These two mates had been attacked by a dog and were looking poorly. They both had some new eyes and all the holes and broken seams were fixed.

25.01.2022 This Disney "Winnie-the-pooh" bear is 45 years old and had a some wear and tear damage, especially on the face, where the old metal backings of the eyes had rusted through. I fixed all the holes and restored his eyes with some new backings.

24.01.2022 This wonderful old Jakas donkey was looking rather worse for wear after many years of faithful service. The fur was stained and had several holes. His ears were floppy and coming off and his mane and tail were looking shabby and bald. The leather saddle was also in a bad state and had to be replaced. It was a big job and he was rather large to have on my lap while I was hand stitching and darning him but he now looks very handsome again.

24.01.2022 This gorilla has been a faithful companion to his owner for 47 years, but he was looking a bit old and tired. He has a rubber face and hands and the body is made from red cotton fabric. So I gave him a good clean and redid the colour on his nose and brows. I then made a new body and some clothes for him. I think he looks very smart and much younger after his make-over!

23.01.2022 Very LARGE teddy bear repair. This big guy was missing an eye and his nose was worn through, plus some broken seams. I gave him a new pair of eyes and put a new suede cover on his nose. He was fed some more stuffing, brushed and stitched back together.

23.01.2022 This lovely vintage mohair teddy had lost some stuffing and needed a surface clean. His posture was much improved after the treatment.

22.01.2022 Lambie was a much loved toy, which had been handed down from father to daughter. Lambie was made from real sheepskin fur and was going bald as well as having several broken seams and holes. I fixed the larger holes by putting some soft leather on the inside and used both glue and stitching to attach it to the backing of the original sheepskin. I found a matching bit of fur and covered the front legs and the larger holes with new fur. I made some new ears and repainted the eyes and Lambie can now keep going for many years again.

21.01.2022 This style of bears were very popular for babies in the past and they often arrive in need repairs and reconditioning.

20.01.2022 Jet the Bat a new creation by Brigit

20.01.2022 This old monkey has a rubber face, hands and boots, while the body is made from a floral cotton. She has fur on her head and wrist and she was rather worn and grubby. Her body needed repairs and the fur needed grooming while the rubber parts needed a good clean.

19.01.2022 Let me introduce a different sort of soft toy, this is Wormy. Poor Wormy was feeling quite worn out and needed some body parts replaced. His head had to be preserved as far as possible, so I gave him an inner lining and lots of stitching to keep his head together. His young owner had done a fantastic drawing of Wormy, as he used to look, so that was a great help in putting him back together.

19.01.2022 The orangutan had lost his eyes and bit of his face to a playful dog ( who of course thought it was his toy!) I patched and darned the face and gave him a new pair of eyes. He came from Singapore Zoo and holds special memories for his owner who was very pleased to have him back.

18.01.2022 Timmy is an elderly toy dog who had been loved so much that he was starting to wear out. He needed an inner lining and lots of darning to get him back looking like himself again. He is now back home with his family and continues enjoying life with them.

18.01.2022 Teddies are such good company in isolation and I have just finished this little one.Polly Panda is a nice little handful of a panda style bear. She is made from vintage mink fur recycled from old fur stoles. She is 5-way jointed and has suede pads, glass eyes and a tiny leathernose.

18.01.2022 She is feeling much better now after facial surgery and an eye transplant

16.01.2022 These twin teddies belonging to twin girls had both been attacked by a puppy and lost part of their faces! I darned the faces back together and replaced the eyes, noses and embroidered mouths. They are now back with their owners and hopefully staying out of reach of the puppy!

14.01.2022 A furry teddy finished and now ready and waiting for his owner

14.01.2022 This old teddy bear had lost an eye and had several holes that needed fixing. His foam rubber stuffing had collapsed and had to be replaced. He was cleaned and brushed and ready to take on being a friend to the next generation.

12.01.2022 Biff is a 42 year old very special bear and a lifelong faithful companion to his owner. He had lost a leg and the shoulder joints on both arms had deteriorated. His eyesight was poor with his eyes badly scratched. One ear was partly torn and his snout had a hole behind his nose. I took poor old Biff apart so he could have a good wash and fixed his broken seams and holes. I then put him back together with some new joints and new eyes and he is looking almost as good as new again. As a bonus he had a wonderful holiday and found a girl friend. He has also made friends with some of the other bears, cats and dragons living here but he now looks forward to going home again to see his mum.

12.01.2022 Aloysius is a wonderful old Chad Valley mohair teddy bear, who came to me for surgery. He had lost his eyes and the old felt pads were disintegrating, so one foot had been shortened and the paws were covered in the remains of old black socks. He also had a hole in his tummy and the stuffing has disappeared from the top of limbs and body. His eyesight was restored with vintage amber glass eyes and his nose tidied up with a mouth added. I covered the pads with new wool felt and cut a small window to show his original label on the old pad. I added some stuffing and darned the hole in his tummy and Aloysius was ready to go home

11.01.2022 Peachy and Biff enjoying the resort lifestyle.

10.01.2022 Poor kitty had lost her snout and one eye, apparently a puppy dog was involved!

10.01.2022 This black and White Verna Bear is about 60 years old. The rubber filling had turned to dust and he had some bad rips and tears. He was unstuffed and washed and then had four new pads. The holes were patched and darned with matching mohair and his face was restored.

10.01.2022 Not a bear but Snoopy arrived in a sorry state after he had been traumatized in a dog attack! He was comforted by my vintage Snoopy and then underwent facial surgery. He came through it well and now he has some serious scars to show to his friends.

09.01.2022 Poor George had been mauled by a dog and was in need of facial surgery. His eyes had been saved and I found some velvet to use for a new face and fixed some tears and holes in his body. He has returned to his owner, who is happy to have him back and that he is not faceless any more.

06.01.2022 Repair of an old teddy, he has been cleaned and restuffed. He only had one eye which was an old button so he had a new pairs of amber glass eyes and I embroidered his nose and mouth. He also had new felt pads and embroidered claws and I did a bit of stitching to fix some broken seams.

06.01.2022 Loved to bits by his owner and then getting chewed by a puppy, it was nearly the end for this old teddy bear, but he was rescued and then put back together again by Brigit.

05.01.2022 Bjørn is a vintage Danish Teddy bear and his owner won him as a tombola price in 1955 in Copenhagen. He had a lot of personality and held happy memories, but was worn and dirty so he needed a makeover, which included being taken apart and washed. He had a lot of holes and was patched and darned. He then got some new felt pads and I put wooden discs in him instead of the wire which had held him together. His eyes were secured properly and his ears restitched, but I left the nose as it was, since the old repair was done with loving care many years ago.

05.01.2022 The gorilla toy arrived rather grubby and worn out after 47 years of service. He cleaned up very well and I made a new body and wardrobe to last him for years to come.

04.01.2022 Lumpa is a soft toy elephant who has been loved to bits by a young owner. The trunks and ears were worn through and the limbs and body needed some more stuffing. After much patching and darning Lumpa is restored to good health and is now back home again and feeling loved.

04.01.2022 This toy is much loved and was getting pretty worn. I fixed all the broken seams and added some patches and he had some new gloves on top of the original hands. I also embroidered the eyes where the green colour was worn away and gave him a new nose. He is now back home with his happy owner.

03.01.2022 Big Ted was sent to me from NSW after he had suffered badly in a dog attack. He also had some wear and tear after long and faithful service to his owner. I patched the large holes and darned the smaller ones. I also gave him a new eye as the dog had cracked one of the eyes. He is now back home again and enjoying life with his loving mum.

02.01.2022 This was a grubby and floppy elephant with some broken seams. He has had a makeover and is now looking clean and happy again.

02.01.2022 Wilbur was a worn out, but much loved teddy bear and he was in need of major repairs. I made a new inner bear lining and carefully hand stitched the old bearskin to it, so he came back to life and looked like a bear again. I also made him a pair of overalls similar to some he used to wear when he was young.

02.01.2022 Tedd bear repair for Sarah M.

01.01.2022 "Greenie" bear had been through a traumatic encounter with a dog and was missing big chunks of his face and one of his ears. The dog had also chewed a hole in one of the arms. I could not find a good colour match to this green colour fur so I made "Greenie" a new muzzle in black fur and then split the one remaining ear so both ears have outsides in green and the insides in black. He got a now pair of eyes and a new plastic nose and was looking quite handsome again.

01.01.2022 "Ben the bear" was in need of a new nose and mouth and a patch to cover the bald spot on his back. He had been handed down from mother to daughter so was supporting a second generation. He is now fixed and back with his loving owner.

01.01.2022 A pair of old teddies repaired and back home with their owner.
