08.01.2022 The winner of our #tedsgoldcomp @adamboltgc has shared his enthusiastic love for his new Sony Australia ZV-1! Check out his thoughts on the camera below! "A shout out to Ted's Camera Stores and Sony Australia for this epic prize of a Sony ZV-1 Compact Digital Vlogging Camera that I recently won through Ted's photo competition.... It's clear that the Sony ZV-1 is designed to take stunning video content for vloggers and video creators, BUT... can it also take stunning photos??? There wasn't much on the internet about how good, or how versatile this camera was at taking photos, so I was keen to test this side of the camera out. After doing some tests, all I can say is WOW!!! This is one serious little compact camera. I've been a Canon shooter for many years, so its jaw-dropping when you bring a photo from the Sony ZV-1 into Lightroom and you see how much you can push the image's high lights and shadows to bring back detail. It's amazing coming from a 1" sensor. Even the JPG images can be pushed quite a bit in post. But for me the "Cherry On Top" is that the Sony ZV-1 has a hot shoe mount. So with the cameras electronic shutter, you can get some CRAZY high flash sync speeds. I was able to get 1/640 sec flash sync using a Yongnuo YN-E3-RT to trigger a Canon 600 EX-RT flash unit. Using this flash setup outdoors in the mid day sun allowed me to take photos that I could only previously take with my DSLR. So how would I describe the video and photo quality from the Sony ZV-1??? One word SUPERB!!!... and considering the compact size of the Sony ZV-1, will it replace my Canon DSLR when travelling???
