Jennifer is a new-to-town Serpentine Jarrahdale local who fell in love with the natural beauty and country appeal of the area when her and her husband built here 3 years ago. It is the perfect place to raise her three children and run her small business. The connections and new friends that Jennifer has been able to make through local small business networking group Business SJ have enabled he...r to grow her business more than ever before! Jennifer is a graphic designer who specialises in working with businesses who are looking to create a strong, cohesive brand across both digital and print mediums. She loves the opportunity to work with business owners, authors, coaches and entrepreneurs across a vast array of industries, immersing herself as a member of their team, learning about their unique business. Jennifer has also recently embarked on a new venture with another local business owner and TEDx committee member Stacey Holmwood, publishing local community magazine the SJ Wire. When Dave suggested hosting a TEDx event in the Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire, Jennifer was extremely eager to jump on board to help see it into fruition! A keen TED talk follower, Keira jumped at the opportunity to support the Inaugural Tedx Byford event to raise the profile of our local businesses and show case the region. Keira is a public relations professional who has held numerous roles in corporate relations and community engagement for both the corporate and not for profit sector.... Keira is an elected councillor at the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale and is also responsible for developing and driving corporate partnerships on behalf of The Salvation Army, resulting in measurable social impact, enhanced corporate reputation, and improved employee and customer engagement. Keira holds a Bachelor of Communication from Murdoch University, with majors in Public Relations and Journalism.

22.01.2022 Meet Our Committee Dave Crispin, co-organiser TEDx Byford. Dave first brought the idea of a TEDx event to the Business SJ committee late 2019, as a way of highlighting and creating awareness around the diverse and ever growing Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire. We are a community rich in business, educational opportunity and unique tourism - Dave and the Business SJ committee wanted to create an event that would showcase our strengths to the rest of WA and Australia. The workplace ...landscape is ever-changing but working effectively with others remains constant. Dave Crispin is a relationship influencer, who has extensive experience in developing sustainable relationships in both industrial and domestic environments. His lived experience while working in the resources industry, coupled with his background in Counselling, Coaching and Adult education has enabled him to develop a series of custom programs based on the needs of individuals to Flourish at home and in the workplace. Dave is an advocate for building stronger connected communities, whether at the local government level or in the workplace. He believes this can be achieved by empowering individuals to work collectively towards a clearly defined set of outcomes. His skills regularly take him to all corners of the Globe, operating until recently out of Hong Kong, now currently in Perth WA. Holding qualifications in Counselling, Coaching, NLP, Psychoeducation facilitation and Mindfulness, he frequently speaks throughout Western Australia on issues related to mental health and optimal wellness. A master storyteller, his stories are fun, relatable and leaves the audience with valuable insights and tools to effect change. His comprehensive knowledge of intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships creates a richness in his keynotes and workshops.

This meant that Ali was forever in danger in his own country, forcing his family to move to Australia in search of a better life. During the three-month long boat journey, Alis life was at risk every day. This spurred on his desire to make the most of his newfound life here in Australia, t...aking every opportunity he could to pursue his passions and higher education. Byford Secondary College has been selected as the venue for this exciting event which will be held inside thier state of the art Performing Arts Centre. ... Year 11 and 12 Media Production students will showcase their talents whilst being actively involved in the technical and lighting setup on the day of the event, assisting our video production manager Danny and his team. The event catering and service will be provided by BSC Year 11 and 12 Certificate II Hospitality students. He also works within the Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire at his familys business Mundijong Garden Supplies & Hire with his Dad since 98. Jon is of proud Noongar heritage descending from the Wardandi Tribe of Busselton. Jon is very active within the community having been a board member and then chairperson of the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Resource Centre. ...One of his passion projects being the pursuit in founding the not-for-profit S.J.Makerspace Inc. He hopes to give people a place for getting a taste in areas such as Robotics, 3-D Printing and all things Maker. Jon is determined to give people of all ages the opportunity to develop new skills and connect with others through shared experiences. Being diagnosed with Adult ADHD, Jon tries to be a strong voice and advocate for those enduring Mental Health. Being a great believer in There is no such thing as Normal, he works to remove the misinformation and stigma surrounding mental health in the community. Why TEDx Byford? Jon joins the TEDxByford committee as a hard working all rounder, having been a TED Talk viewer for as long as he can remember their existence. 02.01.2022 We are so excited to finally announce our next speaker for TEDXbyford: Danny Taylor-Smith. Danny has always been fascinated with people and their stories, spurring him into a degree in film and television. With over ten years experience in videography, Danny has been busy capturing other peoples stories, but now its time to share his own. Not only was he born with a rare congenial heart condition, but at eight years old, Danny found himself to be on the Autism spectrum. ...While he grew up expecting to not marry, have children or find employment, Danny is here to defy this generalised stereotype.
