23.01.2022 During these very trying times we send our love, thoughts and prayers to all, especially those at the frontline of the pandemic and those in authority navigating us all through. Easter is always an amazing opportunity to remind ourselves the great love and hope available to us through the ultimate demonstration of that by Jesus Christ in giving his life for each and everyone of us. Today as we are remember with tears the crucifixion of Jesus in the most horrible death, alon...e, ridiculed, all the pain and destruction of sin of those in those times and for those yet to come including you and I on his shoulders we are right to search ourselves for our shortcomings, what within us was on that cross with Him and to look forward with joyful expectation to the love, grace and eternal hope of the Risen Christ on Sunday. God Bless you all and your families this Easter. If youre feeling alone know that you are never alone, Jesus is always nearby.
22.01.2022 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 | NIV With all that is happening around us at the moment we want to send you all a virtual hug and know that you are precious. In times like these its our actions that speak louder than words so we thought this photo was a lovely reminder.

12.01.2022 We discovered this morning that the Supreme Court ruling on the appeal by Timber World Pty Ltd was handed down last Friday. Whilst we are not an active participant in that appeal we have not seen a copy of the ruling however fully understand their appeal has been upheld. We will now await if any parties will appeal this decision and if none go back to the Planning Tribunal to go through the process again. Let me make this very clear...the lives of Tassie women and Children needing this vital service is too important to walk away from this process. During the Covid19 crisis this was even more painfully evident with our inability to help those coming to us for help. The journey continues ...please put lives and futures first. We continue to pray for those involved, the Meander community and those needing help.
12.01.2022 Teen Challenge Tasmania is taking advice on the situation since receiving the councils decision. We take this very seriously let us not forget it is the lives of vulnerable women and generations of young children in desperate need for this service that our forefront of our hearts. The Supreme Court action was between Timberworld Pty Ltd and the Meander Valley Council, Teen Challenge Tasmania was not a party to it.

10.01.2022 Just a taster of tonights Cannabis Conundrum Tour at Launceston Conference Centre Glen Dhu St South Launceston 7pm - 9.30pm Free Event all welcome.
10.01.2022 In February 2020 your community will have the chance to hear from two remarkable frontline workers who are not only dealing with the physical, mental and familial impacts of this unwieldly experiment, but have documented and recorded what the majority non-cannabis using public is kept in the dark about. The failed economic prosperity, the escalating and overwhelming mental and community health burden and drug driving explosions are only the tip of the iceberg of issues presen...ting. These evidence-based presentations are a must see for all politicians, policy- makers, medical staff of all persuasion, community leaders, educators, emergency services and civic leaders. The future well-being of not only community, but more so, families and our very vulnerable emerging generation deserve the best protective health, safety and potential developing policies. Legalizing Cannabis will diminish community health and resiliency, not build it! The Tour will commence 8th of February and visit key cities on the East Coast and Tasmania. To find out more or request a presentation to your community organisation/group, contact us on 1300 975 002 or email [email protected] https://www.dalgarnoinstitute.org.au/resour/tour-dates.html
09.01.2022 Weve been picking apples from Home of Hope orchard and putting at the Meander Community Hall for local families to take. 09.01.2022 Have discussions with your kids on this. It’s not a laughing matter. It’s high concentrate THC in these products extremely harmful and can be deadly in children and teenagers. Get educated. https://www.childrenscolorado.org//acute-marijuana-intoxi/
08.01.2022 The last couple of months we've received many calls from parents desperate about their young loved ones each under 16 years the youngest was 12, their drug use,... particulalry with Marijuana and the fallout of the significant mental and physical health impacts they are trying to deal with including psychotic episodes, cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) (scromiting), short term memory loss, violent behaviour, lack of motivation, anxiety and depression to just name a few. There are still many that do not understand or perhaps do not want to understand the significant negative impacts of Marijuana especially to the developing brain and body and thus the future potential of an adolescent, our teenagers our future leaders. There is nothing more powerful than learning from someone-else' experiences so groups within Idaho a US state that has been facing legalization of Marijuana, have been closely monitoring what is happening in US states that have legalized for a while now, including Colorado and California. They have created input from front line professionals in these states dealing with the crisis everyday and created documentaries to inform people of what actually happens, not what the Multi-Million Dollar Corporations want to paint a picture of, to communities, teenagers, health systems, judicial systems, environments and families and more. The first was Chronic State this is the latest one Smokescreen. Please watch no matter what your position is and get educated because the push is already starting here in Australia.....Our kids are far more important than profits for a handful of individuals. Critically think.....Get Educated....Look beyond the Smokescreen
06.01.2022 Important event...all people who care for community and family well-being -particularly our kids - need to be there; Teachers, Health Professionals, Police, Sporting clubs, Service clubs, Pharmacists...all encouraged to attend. This is not to be missed. #cannabisconundrumtour #weed #preventdontpromote
06.01.2022 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, Why do you look for the... living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again. 8 Then they remembered his words. Luke 24:1-8 Happy Easter everyone. Our hearts and prayers today with those that have positively been disgnosed with Covid19, those that have sadly passed, those that are still fighting it, their families and friends and those on the frontline. Todays reminder of Jesus rising from the grave is there is hope and an eternal one available through Him. Praying for a supernatural cessation of this worldwide pandemic. Bless you all.

03.01.2022 Hear from very brave parents talking about the loss of their children due to Marijuana use. You may have opinions on this substance but this is not the drug you think it is. No better understanding than from someone that's been there. https://www.gotostage.com//b42436c8cefd4f90982de119d/watch

01.01.2022 Compared to many, my childhood was a cakewalk. Because your childhood beat you around and left you in pain doesnt mean that youll continue the cycle. Let you...r hurt be the source of your greatest compassion, the deepest love and understanding. You can do anything. Walk through it, dont numb or hide. Its been twenty-eight years since I stopped drugs and dedicated myself to a spiritual path, but those hard drugs I did, the heroin, cocaine, and meth, they hurt me bad, it took a long time to really recovery from em. I hope for you that you dont waste your energy there. Even the Weed. Man, I was way too damn young for that Shit, it made growing up a more difficult challenge that it needed to be. For years and years, I made the mistake of trying to run away, before I learned to surrender, accept my pain as a blessing, trust in the love, and let it change me.
