22.01.2022 [A YEAR LIKE NO OTHER] Whether you have been part of the Mummies community for a while now, or have just joined us (welcome!), this is the time of year we get t...ogether and collect brand new children's gifts - to gift a special something to the many disadvantaged children and teenagers in our community. 2020 has been hard enough, and even harder for the 1.1 million children living in poverty in Australia. This appeal aims to provide support for children dealing with the trauma of neglect, domestic abuse, disadvantaged children in indigenous communities, refugee children and kids in foster care. We've all seen the excitement on a child's face when they receive something special - so we'd love your help to support disadvantaged children and teens again - this year of all years. Any brand new gift for children from 0-16 years (unwrapped) will be distributed to children and teens in foster care, in women's refuges and those living on or below the poverty line within the community. Brand new children's gifts can include: - toys and books for all ages - puzzles/board games - items for creative play (arts & craft) - gift cards for teenagers (movie vouchers, Apple/Google Play gift cards etc) You can drop off at Storage King Rozelle or Revesby or have an online order* delivered to Mummies HQ at Storage King Rozelle. 05.01.2022 TOYS & CHILDREN'S BOOKS We are very happy to announce that we can now accept donations of toys and children's books again! Here is the lovely... Terry from Peninsula Seniors Toy Recyclers. who takes most of our toys. Terry says they are very short of toys, and he's able to reinstate weekly pick ups now that he's recovered from his knee operation. Please note that due to space restrictions we can only accept toys smaller than 50cm wide. We also cannot accept second hand stuffed toys due to hygiene & dust mite issues. Donations can be dropped at either Storage King Rozelle (7 days a week) or Storage King Revesby (open 6 days a week). Please check their websites for opening hours.

The children have had opportunities to hold and pat the chicks, and have participated in a range of fun experiences such as; painting/the chicks, creating a book about chickens, and learning more about the life cycle of the chicken.

01.01.2022 The cupboards are bare Hello Mummies, we’ve had an overwhelming demand for toiletries as part of our toiletries & non-perishable food drive and your supp...ort has been amazing, but... well, the cupboards are bare again. We are still in need of items. This is the remainder of our shampoo and conditioner. We are also low on soap and have run out of nappy cream to put into our newborn packs. Donations can be delivered (either in person or via online grocery shopping) to Storage King Rozelle or Storage King Revesby. Thanks for your support.
