21.01.2022 Righto folks, half way through the season, both teams undefeated and the vibe of the club could not be any better!!! A fantastic start to 'the General's' career at Don Wallace, with everyone buying in and backing him 100%. Our juniors are improving from week to week, with strong wins to both our under 11s and 13s going into the break, and our under 15s still finding there feet yet improving and putting in some valant efforts. Special thanks to all involved in the junior secto...r, Fish, Rammer, Roy, Lawso, Boydy, Habba, Pistol, Bailey, JJ and the others I'm sure I've forgotten to mention. Your help and hard work definitely does not go unnoticed. Last night's Christmas Party went down an absolute treat once again. Thank you to all involved in making it what it was, very much appreciated. Special thanks to the Altman family for the donation of the meat, Williams family for the fire pit, Jess for the balloons (even though majority ending up in orbit!!) Minnie, Teha-May, Lawso, Gilbert, Leanne for their catering expertise and last but not least Padzy for his tireless work in not only making sure the bar was fully stocked (thanks Kerrie for the last minute dash to restock) but also his behind the scenes work in making last night possible. Apologies to those that I have forgotten, but I'm sure I will get around and thank you personally. 21.01.2022 Season 2019/20. Well, that's a wrap for this season. Although not in ideal circumstances, and albeit a hollow feeling, with both teams on top of the ladder, a premiership is a premiership, and a double to boot, what a season it has been. What we as a club, both on and off the field have achieved is nothing short of absolutely amazing. You should all be very proud!!!... I'd like to take this time to thank all of those involved in making this wonderful club of ours the truly special place it is. To the committee, Clint, Darren, Sammy, Jake, Jack, Shaun, Marcus, Gilbert, Marie, Pete, James and Benny. Thank you for having my back and supporting me as the president once again. Your work behind the scenes, although not always seen, is truly amazing, and this place would not run the way it does without you!!! To Mathew Dawson, Mate, thank you once again for the fantastic job you've done for the club for the season. I know the boys don't always show it with their lackadaisical approach to their cricket, but everyone always comments on just what a true asset, role model and inspiration you are to us all. Your professional approach to the onfeild is second to none, but more so, your off field position as a true gentleman, great bloke and integral part of the Roo family far out weighs everything else. Cheers mate, it's been a true pleasure to work along side you, and hope to see you back for season 20/21. You're a fuckin legend Barry Cougar Dawson!!! 16.01.2022 Hi all, Hoping everyone in the community is going well through these strange times. Despite the bitter sweet ending to the end of last season, we as a club would like to thank and congratulate all involved both on and off the field to get the club to top of the table in both divisions.... We are hoping to carry the momentum and energy the group built last year through to the beginning of next year and make an early impact. Our players are doing a great job recruiting some new players, and if you know of anyone looking for some cricket this summer, please send them our way. We are hoping to get our pre season admin including an AGM underway soon. We will wait for the review of gathering limits set by the government in a few weeks. If a physical meeting is not viable we will move to a digital AGM. More details will be released as circumstances develop. Stay safe and stay tuned. All the best from the TCC

Covid rules to be followed: If you are sick in any way or displaying Covid-19 symptoms, please give training a miss All players to be signed in and out (use a QR code/app sheet or normal sign in book at the ground) Social distancing to be practiced wherever possible Players to use one ball only if bowling in nets (ball not to be shared with others) Hand sanitiser will be available. Everyone to clean hands before during and after training as directed by coaches. Cricket balls also to be cleaned periodically during training Groups will be limited to 10 or less, players not to mix groups during training Once training is finished, everyone to please head home ASAP. Remember that playing cricket is a privilege, not a right. Can all players please bring a ball to train with if you have one. 10.01.2022 The Teesdale Cricket Club would like to welcome aboard Shaun "the General" Patten As our Club Coach and 1st XI Captain for season 2020/21.... Shaun comes to us from GCA 1 club East Belmont, where he has played 195 games. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and great enthusiasm to lead The Roos for 2020/21 and beyond. Lets all get around "the General", and support him for the upcoming season. Shaun, his wife Lisa,Oscar and Michaela have been residents of Teesdale for a number of years, and now, with his signing at his new home club, can finally make the the transition to being local!!! 09.01.2022 Well, it's finally here!! Round 1 commences this weekend (Sat Nov 7th) Could we please get all players who are available to let us know asap (comment on the players page). This year we are hoping to be a lot more organised when it comes to selection so to not deter those who come up on the social with the usual question 'what ya doin Saturday, want a hit??' Thursday night is another massive night for the club.... We have our u/11s and 13s training. Thursday Nov 26th also sees the return of the 'Blasters Program's (milo) Another Fantastic and a positive move for the club. We will also be providing meals once again Thursday nights. Covid restrictions only allow us 10 people inside to eat, but we have plenty of room for outdoor dining. Thursday's menu; Chicken schnitzel sanga (lettuce, cheese, mayo) and chips $10 Chicken nuggets and chips $5 Orders are essential!! Bar Open EFTPOS AVAILABLE!!!!! 03.01.2022 People of Teesdale: We Want You! Teesdale Cricket Club is planning for a resumption of cricket assuming that the COVID-19 community restrictions are eased towards the end of this year. We want to be ready to play when that time comes so we are asking for parents and community members to assist with the Junior Cricket program.... Whether it be coaching or simply assisting on game day, any and all help is welcomed. No cricket experience is necessary we have senior players who are more than happy to assist with training drills and so forth. This is a great opportunity to contribute to your local club and local community. The also club hopes to get the Woolworths Junior Blasters program started (ages 5-7). Without parental support this program will struggle so if you have interested kids then please let us know. There is heaps of support and resources available from both the TCC and the Woolworths Blasters program and is a fun and rewarding experience for both kids and parents. 02.01.2022 Prospective and Existing Junior Cricket Parents: Cricket Australia have stated that due to COVID-19, all players must have their own cricket gear (including cricket helmet, bat, gloves, pads, protector and so on) and that they do not share the kit with other players. We understand that purchasing this gear could be a barrier to some kids being able to play. If you feel that the expense of purchasing the gear is too much then the Club will make arrangements for the kids to hav...e the gear supplied for free. Our Junior fees will remain unchanged from last year ($50) which will include a playing shirt and a Club T-shirt. If you are having concerns about being able to get a full cricket kit together then please let me know (Pete - 0418 127163) and we will be able to make arrangements to get the gear supplied so all the kids can play. Thats what its all about. Note: Junior Blasters (aged 5-7) will receive their own kit via the Junior Blasters program so they will be covered for gear and compliance with the COVID rules already. We know how much of a drag this year has been for our kids and so the Club wants to do everything we can to get as many kids out in the sunshine playing cricket once we are allowed to. 01.01.2022 Hi All, As you may have heard, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has added the MCG as a possible corona virus acquisition site specifically being day 2 (Dec 27) of the recent Boxing Day Test and encompassing Zone 5 in the Great Southern Stand. ... In order to ensure that the 20/21 season continues as planned, any GCA cricketer or constituent club member who attended the MCG on day 2 and were in Zone 5: must immediately take steps to ensure that they do not attend their club for training or socialising; and please get tested and self-isolate until you receive a negative result. A Melbourne Cricket Club spokesperson has publicly advised that patrons were in Zone 5 of the MCG if they entered the Great Southern Stand through gates 5 or 6, and Zone 5 comprised the following sections (and these would have been listed on the match day ticket for day two): M16 to M27, N16 to N28, P15 to P28, Q15 to Q28 and corporate suites 27-54 Jolimont Club.
