22.01.2022 Fine selection of ingredients from the school garden. The focus today was artichokes. Students used marinated artichokes to make silver beet and artichoke dip p...izza. Judging by the empty plates, it was well received. Students also learned how to prepare an artichoke and which parts are the best to eat. The recipe will be in our next newsletter. See more

20.01.2022 What a day! Today we celebrated World Kindness Day. We celebrated with some pavement drawing, buddy activities and fantastic poster creations. The students reflected on what kindness means to them. They had some brilliant answers!

19.01.2022 Lunchtime Clubs have started this week in the BER. Each Tuesday and Thursday teachers select several students from their class to participate in a range of activities such as: coding robots, Lego and colour ins.

18.01.2022 Online Secondary School Transition Workshop: Golden Plains Youth are delivering a FREE online Transition Program on Wednesday 18 November from 6:30pm 7:45pm. The online program will support students and parents who are transitioning from primary school to secondary school in 2021. Delivered by transitions expert Leigh Bartlett, the session is specifically for young people in Golden Plains Shire and will explore how students and parents are feeling about transition, what to ...expect and how to manage challenges as a family. We know that young people who are supported in their learning and come from homes where learning is valued, have better outcomes in education and in life. 16.01.2022 A reminder to our families that Term 4 kicks off for all students on Wednesday. The next two days are pupil free days. No remote learning or onsite learning will be taking place on Monday or Tuesday. Got a friend who might’ve missed the emails and text messages and be laying out uniforms as we speak?! Tag them so they avoid the walk of shame in the morning!... We are so excited to have students back on deck from Wednesday, we can’t wait to see you then!

15.01.2022 In Grade 5/6 maths this week, students have been investigating angles and Geometric Reasoning. We spent time creating our own angle artworks, practised using protractors and explored many angles out in the yard! What a great way to find out about angles in our real world.

08.01.2022 In Indonesian the students have completed a unit on Sport. They had to create a display poster that would be suitable to be present in an Indonesian classroom. It needed to include: equipment of the sport they were working on, famous players/people and rules and tips of the game. Once finalised we then completed a game outside as a celebration. Enjoy some snaps of the work completed.

07.01.2022 Today is World Teachers Day. We have seen this year more than others how incredible teachers are. We are so very lucky to have the teachers we have at Teesdale. This was so very evident during remote learning. When you’re back on Wednesday make sure you say Happy Teachers Day to our teachers!

03.01.2022 KINDNESS- two weeks to go until World Kindness Day! In the lead up to this day our junior students have been discussing the importance of showing kindness to others. In Personal Learning we’re hoping students connect with the message: ‘there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness, every act creates a warm feeling’ Today students made kindness tokens and handed them out to someone they saw being kind during recess/lunch.
