25.01.2022 To all our valued patients, As the situation with the COVID-19 Coronavirus continues to evolve we would like to advise you that we are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and staff during these challenging times. YES, We are still open for business and continue to adhere to rigorous infection control protocols at all times throughout our practice. As with all health care services within Australia, the provision of dental services is heavily regulated f...or your protection as a patient. This has always been the case regardless of a pandemic or not. As members of the Australian Dental Association, we will continue to be updated daily and follow the guidelines set out for us to ensure that we can continue to service your dental needs over these coming weeks. We will keep you updated if there are any modifications needed. PLEASE ASSIST US IN MAINTAINING OUR HIGH LEVEL OF INFECTION CONTROL SO WE CAN STOP THE SPREAD; It will be necessary for you to delay any dental appointment if you; - currently have any cold and flu symptoms - have recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19 - have returned from overseas travel within the last 14 days We have also implemented extra precautions where you will be requested to wash your hands with soap, or disinfect your hands with sanitizer upon your arrival. We will also be wearing our masks routinely throughout the practice. We thank you for your compliance as we are maintaining a safe and healthy environment, so that we can do our best to assist in ending this pandemic as soon as possible. As always your oral health is very important and we can work together to ensure you stay your healthiest at this current time. Thank you for your cooperation. 22.01.2022 There is still time to get your smile ready - the 1st Friday in October is "World Smile Day" I know the team at "Teeth, Mouth, Smile" will be celebrating it tomorrow - pop along for us to help give you your best smile!

21.01.2022 Are your amalgams leaving a bad taste in your mouth? Just because those silver fillings are at the back of your mouth doesnt mean they cant be seen! More often than not they are chipped, catch food around the margins and are leaking. They allow bacteria to get underneath the amalgam and decay can then spread quickly through the rest of the tooth. We are an amalgam free practice. There are excellent alternatives to amalgam fillings which not only look a lot nicer but can also help protect your teeth by providing a smooth easy to clean tooth surface. Dr Peter Fraser will restore your tooth to look as good as new. Call 9592 5947 to discuss having your amalgams removed today.

14.01.2022 An interesting article discussing the perils of DIY whitening kits purchased online or from non dental professionals. We perform a lot of teeth whitening procedures in our practice - and have great outcomes, however we ensure that we only use trusted products and those which are deemed safe by the profession through scientific studies. It is also very important to have your teeth and oral tissues examined prior to commencing any whitening procedures.

04.01.2022 A lot of interesting finds in the Swanston St dig.... Did you catch Associate Professor Mark Evans on nine news last night?

04.01.2022 Welcome back for 2020. We have reopened today for the New Year and hope that everyone has had an enjoyable festive season. We would like to extend our thoughts to the many Australians and families who have lost their homes, livelihoods or been impacted in some way by the devastating bushfires. And of course extend our support and gratitude to the enormous number of emergency services, fire crews and personnel who are working around the clock to try and beat this monster. We have tried to assist in what little way we can today by donating several toothbrushes and toothpastes. I know that there are several wonderful organisations and community support groups out there coming together at this time, working tirelessly to get aid and supplies to just where it is needed - and it is exactly this, that makes Australia great!

04.01.2022 Happy World Smile Day, from everyone at "Teeth, Mouth, Smile"

02.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID 19 UPDATE During this time of uncertainty, and due to the importance of minimizing the spread of the virus, we would like to advise that our hours of opening have changed. Following updated guidelines issued by the Australian Dental Association and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff we will be postponing all regular dental treatments and will only be providing urgent and emergency dental care for the time being. ... All registered Australian dentists are currently on Level 3 restrictions, this means that there is a limited range of emergency treatments that we will be able to provide in order to ensure the safety of our staff and patients. Emergency appointments can only be scheduled after a thorough pre-screening process has been followed by firstly assessing your COVID status as well as the nature of your emergency. In the meantime, we have partnered with a great online dental consultation solution so that we can continue to provide excellent dental advice and management to our patients during this time. Offering face to face online assessments and remote monitoring of your dental concerns please visit ... DRCHITCHAT.COM.AU for further information.
