24.01.2022 We've created an autonomous agricultural harvesting robot, the 'Fieldbot' on behalf of our client, CloudFarming. The Fieldbot will revolutionise harvesting by: - enabling real-time reporting of picked crops - helping track staff performance ... - efficiently carrying large payloads. And the best news? It can replace legions of diesel tractors as a smart and environmentally efficient solution. The final design is a testament to the vision of CloudFarming foundersand the result of a great partnership. They're an Australian agtech company building innovative farming solutions for the global market. We developed all software and electrical systems. This includes control logic, BLDC motor drive, sensor arrays, safety systems, wireless remote, solar and battery systems. Together, these systems enable a new generation of harvesting tech for crops such as asparagus and broccolini. We also developed a cloud connected Android Tablet App with GPS tracking in conjunction with a weight-scale and RFID interface. This technology sits on the vehicle and gathers data on crop weights harvested by the pickers. This Fieldbot was rapidly developed in less than a year from initial prototype to the design shown in the video. Want to create something amazing in agtech? Think Tekt Industries https://www.tektindustries.com #agtech #robotics #precisionagriculture #cloudfarming #tektindustries #engineeringexcellence

21.01.2022 It was great to be involved in this altruistic project with Tim Devine at AKQA and in partnership with Nordic Semiconductor. The Nordic nRF9160 is an amazing product that just received Telstra certification in addition to its extensive list of worldwide telecom compliance standards. No other solution is as small and capable on the market. Partnering with Nordic Semiconductor to solve problems in IoT and IIoT applications has been a great move for Tekt Industries and we don't ...regret the time invested in development of our internal knowledge of both the hardware and software which makes these devices achieve their true potential. https://bit.ly/3fibvhx #NordicSemi #iot #TektIndustries #iiot #geomatics #gps #cellular #productdesign #internetofthings #wirelesscommunications #m2m #lte

19.01.2022 While we can’t be in the same room as our clients: our design and manufacturing services continue during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our dedicated electronics and advanced technology assembly line is still active and online while our team of engineers are supporting with test engineering at our facility under COVIDSafe practices as we pivot again to ensure we still deliver. COVID-19 has forced us to become more intentional in our communications with our clients. It has prompted us... to be more proactive in our planning so that we’re more likely to be successful during these unusual circumstances. It has been a great motivator to harness the cloud communication tools we already have in new and innovative ways. We have been lucky with our recent office move as having a dedicated 1000Mbps fibre link at our new facility has definitely helped keep video chats running smoothly too. As far as we’re concerned: it’s business as usual (kind of) at Tekt Industries and manufacturing is still running at full speed for all of our clients while design capability just keeps getting better. Chat with with us today about the new normal: www.tektindustries.com/contact #tektindustries #engineeringexcellence #reportbetter #fibre1000 #thenewnormal #electronicsmanufacturing

15.01.2022 As a specialist manufacturer of advanced electronics for our clientele we are always seeking to improve our systems and processes to achieve agile manufacture for both prototyping and production at a scale which suits the Australian market. We achieve this through a balance of skilled production staff AND advanced production equipment which allows for repeatable assembly of electronics at the highest level of complexity. More recently Tekt has invested in research into how we... can help small and medium size manufacturers to utilise COBOTs in electronics manufacture along with Augmented Reality to shorten the path from design to manufacture and prototype and production scale. Tekt is excited to be part of the next evolution in Industry 4.0 technology development to suit both an Australian and global context for advanced electronics manufacture. Check out the linked article for more on how we can make COBOTS part of a modern product development team. https://www.aumanufacturing.com.au/robotics-adoption-matter #domorewithcobots #tektindustries #aumanufacturing #morewithless # #engineeringexcellence #manufacture

15.01.2022 It was such a great experience developing the Fliteboard product with Flite Australia. It is an amazing product and we could not have created the high-performance systems without great technology partnerships and an adventurous client. Congratulations to Flite for their 2020 Red Dot design award and many thanks to Nordic Semi for making the best Bluetooth solutions for custom Bluetooth hardware and connected Apps. Definitely some of the most exciting work we have created to d...ate and we look forward to supporting Flite's vision for advanced aquatic sports technology well into the future. The new Flite iOS App Tekt Industries developed was released to the Apple App store a couple of weeks ago we are happy to have delivered the final part of a world-class full-stack solution from embedded hardware all the way to mobile device and cloud back-end. https://lnkd.in/gk6ZbyC https://bit.ly/2W3cVFP #productdesign #bluetooth #embeddedsystems #appdevelopment #tektindustries

14.01.2022 Arduino make some of the most popular electronic prototyping tools on the market but until recently, two of their products weren’t completely compatible with The Things Network (TTN) in Australia. We helped Arduino solve this problem for the Australasian region. Arduino’s MKR boards are a good starting point for IoT projects. A few of their little open source boards are designed to connect to any LoRa network or to an existing LoRaWAN infrastructure like TTN. The Things Netwo...rk is not (strictly speaking) compliant with the recommended LoRa Alliance implementation of the network. They have specific bands removed within the AU915 coded region, making the network configuration unique and slightly incompatible with standard LoRa devices. Our engineers worked with an Arduino to create a patch to the key open-source library for LoRa so that TTN could be fully supported by all Arduino devices. Our deep knowledge of embedded systems, IoT, and our specialist knowledge of TTN helped to get the job done. It also helped that we are local and available in the right timezone too. Having just made it easier for Arduino userswe’re ready to help all technology companies configure their LoRa products to work optimally on TTN. #tektindustries #iot #thethingsnetwork #embeddedsystems

11.01.2022 In May this year, our CEO Matthew Adams spoke at an Elevate master-class on hardware product development workflows and risk mitigation processes, alongside a stellar group of hardware luminaries. It was a great opportunity to give a little bit of knowledge back to the hardware product development community. It was also an opportunity to inspire a new generation of physical technology innovators in a very challenging tech. marketplace. While product development is a long and a...rduous process it’s always good to remember that it is a journey which founders do not have to take alone. There is a wealth of knowledge out there in the industry with a long list of mentors and experts who have done and seen most of the challenges which will arise in commercialising a product. The Elevate program and the great work by Vela Georgiev at Hardworx are such an example. If you’re a founder it's good to keep in mind that a little bit of knowledge can go a long way and make all the difference. https://www.linkedin.com//vela-georgiev_manufacturing-tech #productdevelopment #engineeringexcellence #TektIndustries
