Views, books, dishwasher, sharp knives, beach (rocky) access, coffee machine, plenty of coat hangers, warm - good fire, staples in the pantry, high speed internet, birds, easy drive to 'town' Alonnah or a good walk. Great instructions for provisioning before the ferry and info about getting around the isla...nd. Central for exploring all of Bruny. A real find - wished we had spent more time there. . . 16.01.2022 Christmas lunch. In an eleventh hour decision, we have decided to open for Christmas lunch - it didn't sit right with us that there wouldn't be a single place o...pen to feed hungry Bruny bellies on Christmas, so we have assembled the perfect team of hospo orphans for the task. May as well be a work family for Christmas! So, on December 25th, our team will assemble and serve delicious Christmas lunches of your choosing - may it be a parma or other item from the menu, or one of our Christmas specials (TBA, but anticipate some classic Christmas themes + yummy local produce)! Hampers are still available to order for dinner/lunch - please get any last orders to us within the next 24 hours. Christmas lunch bookings are strongly recommended - last orders at 2:30pm as we are closed for the evening - yes, we are still going to go fishing ! Although it is hard to anticipate how busy we will be, we do know that we will be the only place open & the best way to make sure that you don't miss out is to get your name on our list! Ho ho ho!

16.01.2022 Tasmania Fire Service has declared a total fire ban for the 24 hours from 2am Tuesday 29 October until 2am Wednesday 30 October for all municipalities in the so...uth of Tasmania. The declaration of a Total Fire Ban means it is illegal to light a fire in the open air, including incinerators, burn-offs, campfires, fire pots, and wood-fuelled barbecues. This applies in the following municipalities: Brighton, Central Highlands, Clarence, Derwent Valley, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Glenorchy, Hobart, Huon Valley, Kingborough, Sorell, Southern Midlands, and Tasman. Current weather predictions provided by the Bureau of Meteorology indicate Very High fire danger ratings for several districts tomorrow, with a dry air mass and windy conditions predicted to cross the south and east of the state, More information on Total Fire Bans and incidents in your area can be found at www.fire.tas.gov.au or by listening to ABC Radio.

11.01.2022 Big day at RDM with the launch of Hull 075. The first of two ferries for SeaLink Bruny Island - well done to all of the crew at RDM - they've worked tirelessly ...to get this boat out on time and haven't compromised on quality. Also thanks to our vast array of contractors and suppliers and of course Incat Crowther for their design. See more
