The boys mother rejoiced, telling ABC News "it means we can concentrate on being a family and for the next three years, at least not have to carry the burden of immigration issues". 03.01.2022 The process of gaining citizenship for Grant Gronewold was a long battle, due to Australias migration health requirement, which prevents any prospective migrant with a disability or illness from obtaining a permanent visa if it is deemed their condition will be too costly. Now at 32 years of age, he is waiting for a double lung transplant but continues to share the reality of l...ife with a chronic illness through his work so others feel less alone.
