23.01.2022 We hope you enjoy your retirement Mick! After 16 years of involvement with Civilmart Tellam, Mick Kelly has finally hung up his boots! Over that 16 years with Civilmart- Tellam, Mick has held several significant roles, not the least of which being his many years at the helm of our Gold Coast operation. Mick started with Tellam as the manager of the Gold Coast branch with a small team and a directive to grow the business and that’s what he did. He was instrumental in making ...changes to our product range and driving new ideas with in the business. Mick helped us grow the business from just a family concern into a real business. Thanks Mick. You will be missed! In the last few years Mick had been working on special projects and assisting with training new employees. We wish you all the best for retirement.. 10.01.2022 CUSTOM DOME GRATE Check out this Custom Dome Grate we recently had manufactured for SEE Civil at South Ripley. It was installed over 10m x 5m pit, we incorporated an access door in the side and powder-coated it black at our customers request.
09.01.2022 Last week our Group General Manager, Peter Bell (left) retired after nearly 20 years with Tellam. Here are some parting words from Peter: On 2 March 98 I started at Ttellam (Tellam had 2 T’s in the early years). Will Dewar had joined the company the year before, then 6 months after Mark Orchard & I arrived. Some 20 years later, until my retirement, the 3 Gippsland boys were still there. ... Back then we had 1 branch on the Sunshine Coast, with about 25 employees. It was a lean operation and everything was hands on, through necessity. Ttellam was small but growing steadily, with a strong work and customer service ethic. Sometime in the early 2000’s we changed our name to Tellam Civil Products to better accommodate our expanding product range. The years rolled on until in late 2013 we purchased BCP, giving us 2 operations in NSW and another in Qld. Over the years we formed many great relationships with our customers, many of whom have become friends. There are so many people I would like to recognise for their part in this remarkable story. It’s a pretty large organisation so unfortunately, I can’t mention everyone by name. Heavily involved in all of this has been my right-hand man for many years, Will Dewar, who has had a profound influence on the company’s success. For me, it’s been a fulfilling time with the company over the past 20 years and I am grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way. It’s a pleasure to hand the reins over to our State Managers, Will Dewar (right) in Queensland and John Yiannoulli in NSW. It’s now time for me to sign off. All the best to everyone. 08.01.2022 1 YEAR ON... Can you believe it will be 1 year tomorrow since we were evacuated from the Bells Creek Branch due to a fire in the surrounding areas. The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - QFES did an amazing job controlling the fire and its a credit to them that no homes or businesses were destroyed. As we are coming into bush fire season again please head on over and like their page to stay up to date with news and tips on how to stay safe this bush fire season

The assessment was run between all our S.E Qld operations which include all our Tellam branches, BCP, CM Concrete and Toowoomba Tanks. The operations where assessed on best overall quality in product, process and safety to help drive improvements in these key areas for our businesses and our customers..... There could only be one winner this time, the trophy going to Bells Creek, congrats guys, keep up the great work and initiatives! 01.01.2022 Last night Tellam attended the 5th Annual Geoff Shadforth Memorial Lecture at the University of the Sunshine Coast. This years speaker was Steve Baxter, one of Australia's most successful tech entrepreneurs and as a man well-known for his incisive questioning of budding innovators on Channel Ten’s Shark Tank. Lissa, Mick and Scott thank Shadforths Civil Contractors for their invitation and hospitality. The night was a huge success as always.
