23.01.2022 A bunch of great flights yesterday (Saturday) and some interesting aspects. First three took off for 750's which were achieved. Then a wedding party took off including the groom and flew to a remote and secret site. Some flew gilders they don't always fly and generally everyone had a great time under a Cu filled sky. Not too many photos today as we were busy in the cockpits with getting the most from the day. Flying every day from now through and into the summer camp.
21.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend (and end of last week)! Jackson completed his 'A' certificate and converted into the Club Libelle - well done!! We hosted some visiting pilots from Southern Tablelands and enjoyed some good soaring conditions. Jackson had an hour in the Club Libelle Saturday then we punched out a bunch of 300+km flights today (Sunday). Blue conditions to 8,000' and higher for some. Currently we hold the top 5 spots on the OLC. Well done Les and thanks Terry and Mike for the weekend tows.
20.01.2022 An update from your remote reporter at Leeton. Today we got back in the air after 3 non flyable days and everyone enjoyed the Cu conditions. Many close races to the line with several finishes only seconds apart. Happy to report Charles Kilo finally came through for the day win and got the coveted kill sticker.
11.01.2022 Update on the earlier post. Tim took his 24e out and Tom and Scott followed in the Janusoarus. WZ crew flew to Grenfell, Cootamundra, Ganmain, Aleena, for 387km at over 108kph. This included a 115km final leg without any turns at 46:1 @ 86kts. Fun day out.
07.01.2022 Apologies for a lack of reporting since 27th! We've flown every day except yesterday 1 January - sore heads or overcast skies or both - you decide! We had another long day on the 30th with another 750km here and others in the 600's. Jackson did outlanding training then completed another hour long soaring flight in the Club Libelle - well done!! Today Geoff flew 300+km threading his way through an ever changing sky. Others (well, one) completed some genuine outlanding practice. We also welcomed Ron on an AEF and hope to see him back again in the autumn. Great photos Stuart and thanks Elvon and Terry for the tows.
05.01.2022 Big weekend of flying with the summer camp well underway. Visitors from Bathurst, Canberra, Southern Cross, Narromine and Kingaroy clubs. Don't forget all our Temora club pilots and crew. 24 flights went up on the OLC for Sunday and there were other notable ones too. Ed (ASH31Mi) and Grant (Nimbus 2) chased down Nathan in the Std Cirrus but it took about 400km and then it couldn't be shaken off! So, two 750's by Nathan and Grant, several 500's and 600's and most flights over 300 yesterday. Next few days look good. Thanks to Elvon, Terry and Brian for the tows. The aerial is Hillston.
