25.01.2022 Any Old Boys can now cease training!
24.01.2022 Any player from West Wyalong who wants to play with Temora this season needs to be registered to the West Wyalong Club first, and then a Portability Permit can be requested.
24.01.2022 Temora Dragons update A delegation from our club attended the Group 9 meeting on Saturday the 13th June & whilst Group 9 has rallied to run a modified competiti...on for 2020, we TRLFC, have stood by our original decision to sit out the 2020 season due to a duty of care to our players with limited time to prepare for the July 18th kick off, along with the health risk of Covid 19 & restrictions that are still in place. Where to from here you may ask? We see this a great opportunity to get our affairs in order for a stronger presence in Group 9 in 2021. Many of you may not be aware, but before Covid 19 hit, we had already had to withdraw the U/16’s & were looking very likely to have to withdraw the U/18’s due to lack of player numbers. The numbers in the senior grades was of some concern as well. Rugby league in Temora is becoming a major concern & it is getting harder to get people to volunteer their time, especially when the club is doing it tough & success hasn’t been on the cards for some time. This club is here for the players from U/16 years & above, to play & enjoy the game of Rugby League, it’s your club. We the committee are only the caretakers/administrators of the club to take care of the paper trail & finances, to allow the great game of Rugby League to continue to be played here in our proud town & all this time & effort is volunteered with not one cent taken. High Player payments are killing the game. You say you love the game & want to play rugby league, we need you the local player. Import player payments need to come back into check for the game to survive, This pandemic has changed life from here forward, but one thing is certain, if we want the great game of senior Rugby League to continue in this town, this is now the time for everyone to do their bit to make sure we come back in better shape for 2021.Hopefully this year has pointed out how quickly life can change or how short it could be! We will be holding an earlier AGM in the near future, as some committee members have expressed their intention to stand down. I’m urging some fresh faces who are willing to voice their thoughts & help with the daily running of the club to come forward to allow the people wishing to stand down some piece of mind that their roles will be filled & maintain the opportunity for the senior players to play the game of Rugby League in Temora. Let’s not become a statistic like Harden or Tumbarumba, because once you’re gone, it’s extremely hard to come back! So, we’re urging all players and parents/guardians from U/16 years & above to show your commitment to this club to help with the recruitment of players and fresh blood to the committee. As I stated earlier, this is the player’s club- your decisions now don’t just impact on tomorrow but for years to come, to ensure this club is still in existence, so your children & future generations have the opportunity to play Rugby League at a senior level in their hometown. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors for their generous donations that allow this club to operate & provide games for the local senior players of Temora. You, the local player or parent/guardian, will dictate the survival of this proud club. Yours sincerely Anthony Madden President TRLFC

20.01.2022 Urgent Meeting: Covid 19 pandemic plus U/18’s and Senior player numbers We will be holding a information night at the bowling club this Thursday the 19th March... at 6:30 pm & urge all registered & available players to attend to discuss the Covid 19 pandemic and what affects it may have on the 2020 season & what direction TRLFC is taking to prepare for what may lie ahead. As NSWRL has cancelled all clubs training till further notice it is vital all attend to get the information first hand from coaches on what direction we as a club are going to take. The playing numbers in our u/18’s is a major concern and invite all players available for this age group to attend and meet the new coach Mark Yates and hear about his coaching history ( very switched on ) and his plans for his team for the season, so tag away 18’s & get everyone that is possible for this age group there for a listen, as a decision on this grade needs to be made for the upcoming season. Obviously if you are unwell we ask for you not attend but rather informs us & we will relay the information. Thanking you all for your patience and let’s bond together and stay tight to get through these uncertain times. Kind Regards TRLFC Committee See more

15.01.2022 Josh McCrone Open Letter - September 13 The last few months have been challenging, and 2020 is a year that will not easily be forgotten. As a Toronto Wolfpack p...layer I have experienced something that I have never had to deal with before. When David Argyle made his decision to pull out of the club, it left myself and many of my mates in limbo and suffering extreme financial hardship. Many of the boys have found temporary new clubs to go to, some of us have started alternative work and the majority have stuck in there because we genuinely believe that there is a real opportunity for the Super League to expand in Toronto. We have experienced first hand how Canadian fans have taken to rugby league. The city of Toronto loves sport and they extended their love to the Wolfpack. The game day excitement is something I have never seen before in rugby league. The atmosphere at a sold out Lamport stadium is infectious. It is hugely disappointing that every Super League team, and their fans, did not get to experience it for themselves this year. As captain of this club I have had many dealings with David Argyle. I was personally very disappointed in how he misled us, and it has left a sour taste in my mouth. However even with the turbulence of the last several months I would not go back and change my decision to join this club. It is more than one person, it has become our family. It has so much to offer not just to the Super League but to the game of rugby league as a whole. I know I am not the only one excited by news of the potential new wolfgrooming.com investment group. The group has a proven track record, a sound plan going forward and importantly the integrity to meet the payroll commitments for 2020. This suggests they are built on strong morals. I understand both the Super League and the RFL have to do their due diligence to ensure we never find ourselves in this same situation again. However this remains a unique opportunity to grow the greatest game in the world, in one of the greatest cities in the world. If we do get the green light from the authorities, I would be proud to pull on the Wolfpack jersey and lead my club through the season in 2021. I feared this opportunity might not arise, but under our new ownership I really hope it does, and that the decision made by our fellow clubs will be a positive one.

09.01.2022 2020 Season Update Footy is back! First round will be 18th July. The committee is working hard to ensure all COVID-19 training is completed and procedur...es put in place so we can get the kids back training as soon as possible. Coaches - please do not commence training yet. We are doing our very best to satisfy all Group requirements as quickly as possible and one of those requirements is submitting a safety plan to Group 9. We hope to receive approval this week. We also need to appoint a safety officer for each team. If you can help out in this area please let your child’s coach know. Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times. We look forward to welcoming the kids back and will provide further information later this week.

07.01.2022 Toronto Wolfpack are excited to announce a brand new initiative offering both Canadian and UK small businesses the chance to co-sponsor Wolfpack Captain Josh Mc...Crone. During an extremely challenging time for small businesses across the world, this is a fantastic opportunity for companies to experience the exposure and association from sponsorship of the world's first transatlantic professional sports team, for a fraction of the cost. 04.01.2022 Council was fortunate in receiving information on the image of one of the football teams in the recent Step Back In Time article, see below information received... from Bill Harris. The attached image has been kindly answered by Mr Bill Harris, who too, is a player within the image. The team is in fact the Northern Riverina football side (wearing the Ariah Park Bombers guernsey’s) that defeated WA Premiers Subiaco at the Temora Recreation Ground on Wednesday, 6th August, 1947. The game was a showcase match by Subiaco who were touring the districts to compete against the countrymen. It is understood that the game was a great display of sportsmanship and too, what the district had to offer in the calibre of sportspersons. Each team scored over a 100 points. In fact one (1) player was then selected to play for Carlton Blues Mr Vincent ‘Vin’ English who played over 100 senior VFL games. Vin was judged as best on ground in every one of his finals. After his stint in the VFL he later coached Colac in the strong Hampden League. Photo details: Back Row Vic Steinke, Vin English, Jim Daniher, Ted O’Kane, Jim Keys, Vern English Middle Row Bill Harris, Keith Fairman, Neil Thompson, Tom Imrie, Bruce Dunn, Arthut Murdoch Front Row Hertel Bennett, Ray Harper, Gee Dennis, Darcy O’Connor, Jim Ryall, Alec Prentice Note: Jim Daniher was not selected in the original side, but when J Ireland suffered an injury on the previous Saturday the Ungarie selectors rang and said ‘I will send young Daniher over in his place’. The lad was just 8 days short of his 18th birthday.
