25.01.2022 TEMORA HEATED INDOOR POOL REOPENING AT NOON TOMORROW After shutting its doors nearly two and a half months ago, the Temora Heated pool will again be available to members and casual users. After receiving updated details regarding the latest Public Health order, Centre Manager Judy Mannion has been making preparations to have the pool ready by midday on Saturday 13th June, 2020 The preparation has involved cleaning and disinfection of the pool surrounds and amenities, increasi...ng filtration turnover, super chlorinating the water and reigniting the gas burners, which will heat the water from the ambient 14 degrees to the usual 28.5 degrees Celsius. The following COVID Safe rules will apply: - Only 3 swimmers per lane - Maximum of 9 people in the pool at the one time - Spectators only permitted to supervise minors - Social distancing of 1.5m must be maintained at all times - Use hand sanitiser on arrival - Follow directions on all signage Patrons who had current memberships at the time of closing (24th March, 2020), will automatically have three months added to their previous expiry date, with active cards able to be used to access the facility from the opening date/time. Sadly, this means unless we have several more people buy their passes by 4:30pm tomorrow, Friday 24 July 2020, we’re going to have to cancel aqua aerobics for the moment. 10 week passes are available for the price of 8 weeks at Council office. 18.01.2022 Now that the weather isn't so cray-cray hot, it's time for the swimming season to end. The pool will close as of Saturday 21st March, 2020. Never fear though, because a group of wonderful individuals rallied for, and built, our awesome indoor pool, and members can use it all year round. If you haven't already sorted your membership over Winter, you can do so by downloading the membership form via the link and returning it to Council with payment.

For the time being, Aqua Aerobics will continue to run each Monday and Wednesday evenings as the risk of contracting Coronavirus in the class environment is minimal. 14.01.2022 Changes to Covid restrictions mean that up to 20 people can now be in the indoor pool building at any one time. Please continue to exercise social distancing rules and wash and sanitize regularly.

That means it's time for us to start looking for junior casuals to fill the roles of Kiosk Attendant and Lifeguards. 11.01.2022 Due to government direction, Temora Shire Council has decided that the Recreation Centre, including the indoor pool, will be closed until further notice. This decision was not made easily, but it is important we do all we can to flatten the curve and follow government directions.

07.01.2022 Due to the closure of some of Council's facilities, including the pool, pool memberships will be automatically extended by the period that the pool is closed. You don't need to do anything except wait until the pool reopens.

07.01.2022 It is now a requirement that all patrons entering our facilities sign in electronically to assist with contact tracing. We are urging our patrons to pack their phone when visiting the Rec Centre so they can scan the QR codes found in the foyer. There are multiple QR code signs to allow for traffic flow, and patrons without a phone can be assisted by kiosk staff to access an ipad that will be sanitised regularly. 06.01.2022 Based on feedback from our original call for Expressions of Interest we are changing the day and time of the proposed Aqua Aerobics class to 6pm on Wednesdays throughout term 3. We still require a minimum of 8 people to confirm their interest and are asking that people purchase a ten-week pass for the price of 8 weeks. If you are interested please comment below. 03.01.2022 Looking for a great Christmas gift? We are now selling gift certificates for the water slide at the pool. Gift certificates can be purchased from the Rec Centre. Summer pool hours are 10am - 6.30pm and the slide sessions will be 11am - 1pm and 3pm - 5pm daily through the school holidays.

03.01.2022 Calling for Expressions of Interest for Aqua Aerobics in term 3. Typically during the winter months we see a decline in attendees for Aqua Aerobics, so we are calling for EOI to hold a class each Tuesday at 5pm during term 3 (10 weeks). We would require a minimum of 8 people interested, and would be asking those people to buy a 10-week pass (for the price of 8 weeks) up front. Prices are as follows: Non-members: $10 per week ($80 up front)... Members: $7 per week ($56 up front) Concession/ Child: $5 per week ($40 up front) To register your Expression of Interest please comment below or private message us by Tuesday, 14th July.
