25.01.2022 Congratulations Alicia! We love how hard you work in every session & your dedication to movement. Keep kicking those goals girl, you are killing it!

24.01.2022 Congratulations to our April Athlete of the Month - all of you! We are so proud of our members continuing to train during this period, often with limited resources, company, coaching & motivation. Wont be long until were (safely) back together again. Keep up the good work guys! Much @ Temper Strength and Conditioning

24.01.2022 Temper member Lorraine was diagnosed with MS a little over 10 years ago. Not only has she already passed her 50km challenge, she has raised over half our teams funds. We asked her to tell us a little about living with MS... I have had one relapse where i could not lift my leg and lost function in my hand. I had to have heavy dosage of iv methylprednisolone and a month of oral prednisolone. I was able to walk again. I am on ongoing treatment which keeps me in remission. I fee...l I can do anything, at least give it a go. I am mindful that as a ms sufferer you can overheat in summer, but easy to deal with. I have a very positive attitude, my intention is to die with MS and not because of it. I believe doing CrossFit will let me reach that goal. I would recommend CrossFit to anyone. Conditioning and strength is paramount to my well being. Some exercises my body is too old for. I hope this gives an overview... hopefully it helps someone else. I often forget i even have ms Join our team & donate at: https://www.themay50k.org/fundraiser/temperfam2020

24.01.2022 What was your RPE today? Monitoring training load is one of the most influential factors in programming. RPE is one of several methods used when programming for Temper athletes. ... When we return to regular classes we will be asking our athletes to score their metcons based on personal RPE. Hopefully no one actually hits the 10 from this chart during class

24.01.2022 Congratulations Sjhana! Always such a delight to have in class, we love your willingness to give things a go & accept the challenge. Youve achieved so much in such a short space of time. Looking forward to seeing whats to come! Great work mate, keep it up

24.01.2022 Big congrats to Coach Chris & Amy on their engagement yesterday. Naturally they came straight to gym afterwards Best pre-workout eva.

22.01.2022 Congratulations Louis! Louis has come out of iso as a force to be reckoned with. Setting goals, recognising weaknesses & consistently working them; his attention to movement standards, intensity & positive attitude has not gone unnoticed. Well done mate.

21.01.2022 Its Hump Day! But never for your back. Look after your back by avoiding rounded shoulders & keeping a neutral spine while lifting. Take a moment to set your feet & back first, brace through the midline, then use your legs & hips for assistance. Were not just talking deadlifts. Think kettlebell swings, farmers carry, sandbags, groceries, all the online shopping deliveries...... Less is more, so if you feel yourself rounding, your back is starting to ache (or your coach is telling you to stop lol), rest, drop the weight & continue with correct technique.

21.01.2022 Its that time of year again... Our mini break is over. Time to re-establish our goals, re-set our parameters & finish 2020 in the best shape we can. @ Temper Strength and Conditioning

21.01.2022 Congratulations Ash! Our 2018 Athlete of the Year still has what it takes. Consistency, coachability, a positive attitude & always super keen for the big boy dumbbells. Great work mate. (if only there was a tracksuit emoji )

21.01.2022 Big thanks to Ryan from @physio_fit_adelaide for running us through the first of our 3 part mobility workshop series today featuring shoulders & upper back. We covered pre-hab, re-hab & everything in between. The next workshop (calves, ankles & feet) is Sept 19.

21.01.2022 Looking forward to filling our space with bodies again as soon as we can. In the meantime, our community is stronger than ever. We may be physically distanced, but that doesnt have to mean we are socially distanced. We will continue with online programming for members, and general mayhem of the less physical kind. Cant wait to see you on the flip side. Much love,... Lou, Kate & The Temper Crew See more

20.01.2022 This chick. Without her there would be no Temper. Simple as that. Lou is our founder, leader, mentor, coach, athlete, friend. * Lou leads by example for training consistency, intensity, working around injury, progressions, nutrition & attitude. She sets her bar high & reaches it; then she pushes us (with just the right amount of force) to reach ours. * There is much more to write but anyone who knows Lou knows what were talking about.... * PS Lou would never have agreed to this post had I asked so maybe dont tell her @ Temper Strength and Conditioning See more

19.01.2022 Massive (belated) happy birthday to everyones fave Coach, Adrian. Even though we celebrated on the day (a week ago) & he did more than his share of birthday burpees, we forgot to tell the world. And if its not on socials, did it even happen? So heres a post as cheesy as this pic. Besides, birthdays are always better when the party lasts for longer right?

19.01.2022 EATING IN ISO: Whats your go to home cooked meal? Earlier this year our Temper It challenge investigated nutrition, exercise, hydration & recovery habits. While the overall stats were fantastic, one of the best results was to see people cooking a lot more, using real ingredients, rather than relying on processed foods and take out. With the challenge ending on 9 March, turns out it was fortuitous timing for Covid-19 lockdowns ... #conspiracytheory or #justkeepingitreal

18.01.2022 How good is mid week coffee? When The Coffee Barun Espresso Bar opened at the front of our premises we knew we were headed for caffeine overload ... and we dont mind at all

17.01.2022 Happy birthday Coach Kate! Self iso saw our Temper #fitfam replaced by front yard #actualfam for birthday burpees this year No excuses, hey?!

16.01.2022 Shout out to @stevegebert for his second placing over the weekend at @ildhmtbclub state champs. Fantastic mate! Over the last few months Steve has been working through a gruelling individual, sport specific program put together by our head coach @louisebenoit His effort inside the gym matches that on the track & its an inspiration to us all. We are really proud to sponsor Steve & to have the opportunity to play such an important role in his training.

16.01.2022 There are so many ways we can train together while being apart & this one is a no brainer. Join our team as we walk/run/ride/swim/crawl/skip our way through 50kms during May. Free to participate, fundraise for a good cause, stay accountable & get some kms done. #TemperFam2020

16.01.2022 This morning Ryan from @physio_fit_adelaide ran us through some mobility & strength exercises with a focus on lower back & hips. Lots of movements we can incorporate into our personal warm ups & recovery. Thanks for another great workshop, Ryan.

15.01.2022 Part 2 of our mobility series is this weekend! Join us & podiatrist Joe from PodFit to talk calves, ankles & feet - often neglected in our recovery plan but so important

14.01.2022 Whos excited for 8 June? Weve really missed face to face coaching, training together & the general shenanigans our group classes bring. Can not wait to see you all again real soon.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to our March Athlete of the Month, Cheryl! We love seeing you working so hard every day, even training barefoot when your broken foot prevented the wearing of shoes! Thanks for always bringing a smile to the gym (& now to our zoom classes). Keep it up mate, great work.

13.01.2022 REST DAY!! Recovery routines are just as important as training routines for longevity of training. How do you spend your rest days?

12.01.2022 Join us this Sat at 10am to hear Ryan talk all things mobility for upper back & shoulders. Pre-hab, re-hab & lots more.

12.01.2022 GUYS! JUNE 1!!! We are so pumped!! The timetable looks a little different for now but the sweet, sweet image of a barbell flanked by weight plates & maybe just a touch of chalk dust as it hits the rubber remains unchanged Seeya next week!

11.01.2022 How are you spending your Sunday?
