19.01.2022 Youve heard of an after school snack, but have you heard of an after school surprise cello?! This bright young cellist came into our shop last week looking for a brand new, full size cello outfit! After going through the whole big selection process, the outfit that won the day was the exquisitely crafted Heinrich Gill 304, the Carbon Fibre Matrix bow by JonPaul Bows, and a stunning blue New Tech case from Bam Cases.... At the time, they didnt actually purchase the outfit and our young cellist was very disappointed - but it was all a ruse! Mum came back yesterday to pick everything up in order to surprise her when she came back from school! And surprise her she did! A big thank you to Mum for sending us through those pictures - were so glad we got to be a part of the surprise and we wish you all the best with your new instrument!

13.01.2022 Its not often that you love a saxophone so much you buy it twice! This fine gentleman actually visited us back in January to purchase the stunning Yanagisawa W010 Tenor Saxophone. Although he was delighted with his new saxophone, his neighbours were clearly not music lovers and complained every time he practiced between the "unacceptable" hours of 4-6pm! So he made the tough decision to sell his beloved instrument. Ever since he parted ways with his saxophone he has b...een filled with regret, so today he decided to follow his heart and "stick it to the man", using one of our generous purchase plans to get his hands on his dream instrument once more! 06.01.2022 Heres a "heads-up" for all the flute players! When you come in to upgrade your instrument with us, youll have the advantage of being able to try out a huge range of different brands and models all with different headjoints! Headjoints come in all different shapes, sizes, and materials, and make a huge difference when it comes to the sound of the instrument ... Pictured below are some of our more funky ones - the Grenadilla headjoint that comes with the Trevor James Flutes Virtuoso, and the Zircon and Gold Lip Plates that accompany the Pearl Flutes 665 and 695 - but even the plain solid silver headjoints that most intermediate flutes come with are incredibly varied! In the same way that the wand chooses the wizard, the instrument often chooses the player So when its time to upgrade, make sure you come and try them all - youre sure to find one thats just perfect for you!

05.01.2022 Heres something a bit different to start the week off: Two very different percussion instruments that we ordered specially for our customers On the one hand we have an absolutely massive Powerbeat Marching Band Bass Drum, and on (or should we say in!) the other, we have the Egyptian Darbuka - a goblet-style drum popular in the Middle East and North Africa! ... We love the challenge of finding more unique instruments, so if youve had your eye on something a bit special but are having difficulties hunting it down, get in touch!
