23.01.2022 Steps This photo has nothing to do with them besides when your on holidays you usually do more than you usually would.... and I’m hanging for a trip out of Victoria! Going back 3 years now I have always recorded or at the very least paid attention to the amount of steps / the activity I do in a day here are some reasons why you would do this. - -... You can’t manage what you don’t measure, during a fat loss phase If you see that you are dropping off in steps / activity which your body will naturally want to do as your putting less in to your body than usual aka a calorie deficit you can see if your starting to drop off and make sure your still hitting your step goals each day and then your over all goal of staying in a calorie deficit. - - Health, there is a reason why we have the 10,000 goal of steps, studies using the 10,000 steps per day goal have shown weight loss, improved glucose tolerance, and reduced blood pressure the simple increase of getting your body to move more. - - Hope it helped - For coaching enquires email: [email protected] - - #holiday #steps #motivation #gym #fitness #gymsopen #palmcove #parmtree #ocean #health #healthy #healthylifestyle #training #instaholiday See more
23.01.2022 Staying focused!!! This was going to be a topical post about an arm workout but thought this would have much more value to some people finding it hard to stay focused during work outs even when you have your little best friends join you @nahla_belle_templar @cleo_aria_templar here are a couple of things I’ve always done to help me stay Focused and on track. - - Program, sure I sometimes just chase the pump but 99% of the time I have a program that I’m working towards pro...gressing in to make sure I do achieve some sort of progressive overload from extra reps on a certain weight or increasing the weight on a certain number of reps. - - Goal, in my eyes without a goal knowing what you are working towards you are just chasing your tail, it doesn’t have to be massive it can be as simple as hitting a number on a deadlift or stepping on stage at 3% body fat in 24 weeks but whatever it is it’s important to have a clear idea of what it is you want to achieve and work towards it. - - Sleep, never underestimate sleep without a good amount of sleep and recovery it’s going to be hard to stay focused on anything as a dad there has been many times that I would have to choose not to train in the early morning when I prefer just to get an extra hour in and move my schedule around to make sure I’m not doing more harm than good. - - There is many many more but these would be my main ones hope it helped - Accepting new clients for next month email: [email protected] Limited spots - - #training #workout #focus #gym #gymsreopening #chestday #armsday #health #lawrencetemplarhealthnfitness #diet #healthyfood #healthylifestyle #balance #cableworkout #helpfulhints #helpfultips See more

15.01.2022 How to stay productive!!! This is definitely something I get asked a lot by my clients so here is some things I have always done to make sure I get done what needs to be done by the time it needs doing - - To do list, definitely one of the most obvious ones but I have been doing this since I was a kid and my old man would give me my list of chores to do after school before I was aloud to go skating with my freinds, having a list you can see rather than just a bunch of... things in your head to do in my opinion makes it less stressful and easier to focus on the one task your doing. - - Plan your day, take time to plan your day each day even if it’s just 5 minutes in the morning when you wake up, plan when to do the things you have on your to do list, plan when to finish by, plan when you going to start by etc without this I would definitely procrastinate. - - Small rewards, once you have completed your to do list and been productive the whole day reward yourself this could be watching your favourite tv show / movie, sitting down in peace knowing you have done everything you need to do to have a nice home cooked meal / going out for dinner. It’s important to reward yourself for the things you work hard to do. - - Hope it helped - For coaching enquires email: [email protected] - . . #helpful #helpfultips #training #gym #motivation #DBrow #PB #flex #growing #apexday1 @apexday1

05.01.2022 Weight loss v’s fat loss A lot of the time when I ask people what there goal is 99% of the time if it’s someone that wants to lose body fat % they will say a number that they will see on the scale and not think about body composition and only on that number and to give people a better understanding here is the difference... - - Weight loss, this will be something you see on the scale only it can come from a number of things including if you are just focused on being in... a calorie deficit and not worrying about the macros you will lose muscle it also comes from fat loss, water loss, Glycogen loss. - - Fat loss, you lose body fat...... - - It’s import to work out what you want from your aim to drop for example 5kg would you still be happy if in 6 months time you have dropped a dress size and you look and feel completely different But still weigh the same on the scale or does the scale only matter to you? ( this is not talking to people that have to make weight for a sport eg. Fighting ) - - Hope it helped - For coaching enquires email: [email protected] - - #weightloss #fatloss #bodycomposition #flex #ifbbaustralia #ifbbproleague #health #helpfultips #melbourne #learning #teaching See more
04.01.2022 IIFYM!!! (If It Fits Your Macros) Over the years I have dieted in a number of ways eg. Low carb, carb cycling, keto, IIFYM, 80/20 rule, hand measurements (first/palm/thumbnail) mainly for a reason of learning and finding out what works for me best but when it comes to loosing body fat I’ve been lucky that just being in a calorie deficit and moving more will equal fat loss. - -... Left my food out, thismorning getting up and going down stairs to get my food out of the fridge realising after I made all my meals last night I never ended up putting them in the fridge #dadlife so I though I would list my food for the day that Ill eat to hit my calories / macros. - - My calories, on a training day at the moment I’m doing 2,300 P:232 C:189 F:76 and currently doing a small cut, instead of my usual meals I cook I had to wing it the first 3 things are from 7/11 that I got at 5am on the way to work and didn’t have a break to go and get anything else until after my training session at 12pm at coles and that’s number 4 and 5 and the final 6 and 7 I was back home and was able to cook before I started my acting course at 7pm. 1- You foods, creamy garlic chicken Kiev and chips 2- Crank max protein bar 3- Sirena chilli and oil tuna 75g x2 3 rice cakes 4- Protein shake 30g 6 rice cakes (post training) 5- Sumo well pulled beef brisket (beef and cous cous) 6- Turkey patty x2 and veggies 7- 230g (raw weight) chicken breast 100g white rice and veggies - - My point, I could of just said F@$k it and just gone off the rails and eating anything all day but I didn’t, knowing and understanding how to track calories is a great tool to have and helps when things are out of your control and let’s face it shit happens from time to time so do what you can to control the things you are able to control - - Hope it helped - For coaching enquires email: [email protected] - - #iifym #diet #meals #healthy #backtogym #training #weights #caloriedeficit #caloriecounting #selfie #maskselfie
