21.01.2022 Good morning Tee markers have been placed back out onto the driving range tee. These tee markers specify areas available to practice from. The tee markers will be moved on a regular basis to low clean practice positions.

18.01.2022 Aerating greens and approaches today for the final time during lockdown. Greens and approaches are being solid tined with 12mm tines to a depth of 100mm. From December we will move to our lighter pedestrian aerator using the smaller 8mm solid tines monthly. Throughout December the greens will also be slit aerated for the final time before year end.

11.01.2022 Good morning Edward our falconer visited Sunday morning with Sonic the Goshawk and Teddy the ferret. Sonic is in training and was able to rise 6 rabbits along the 14th woodland but this time unable to catch. Falconry rather than shooting, is fairer and more natural way of rabbiting allowing a fair chance for the rabbits, a chance which all 6 rabbits took this weekend. ... Edward, Sonic and Teddy will visit Sunday fortnightly just as the Sun is rising.

08.01.2022 Good afternoon. And so we are into Lockdown 2.0. On this misty day it is sad to see the flag pins and tee markers have been taken in from the golf course for the second time this season. But what an opportunity we have to use this lockdown to clear leaves, aerate and dress surfaces and continue on with the course improvement programme so as on your return the course will not only be beautifully presented there may just be some improvements as well. The machine shown in the pictures is a demonstration roller. It is the Smithco XL9000. We are hoping that this machine will join our fleet for spring 2021.
