25.01.2022 As you know, Identity is one of my favourite topics to discuss, ever. It has so many layers to it. And yesterday, as I attended Growing Up African in Darebin, where editor Ahmed Yusuf and writer Hope Mathumba shared their own experiences and read excerpts from this phenomenal book, we got to discuss some of those layers. Even in my Temples interviews, I love to uncover the very things that shape the inspiring people we see today.... Storytelling is a fantastic way educate, and inform us on what shapes those around us. Sometimes those aren't easy to talk about. Sometimes we laugh, or we'll need to pause to compose ourselves because these stories come from a place of struggle. Nevertheless, every story has a purpose and an inspiring aspect to take from and pass on to the next generation. Here's to storytelling, never getting old
