25.01.2022 Hey, the Classic Performance Group Car Show is not until the Festival in April 2016! Someone must be securing their spot for the Festival already with that Aussie classic Valiant!

21.01.2022 After 22 years the last Templestow Village Festival occurred in 2015. If the Festival still existed, it would have been this time of year and would have been canceled due to Stage 3 Covid19 restitutions on large gatherings. Who would have thought back then we would have to stay at home with international borders closed, state borders closed and the world shut down due to a global pandemic! So in these times of physical distancing & social isolation, someone has unlocked the ...archives and is throwing open hundreds of memories from the good times we had! Some multiple pics below, but press the photos & videos tabs to see hundreds of individual images & memories. This post has not been authorised by the Festival Committee - as that ceased operation 5 years go with the last Festival. Yes, this account has gone rouge - but with good intentions - sharing the fun memories & great times gone by. Take care. Stay safe.

18.01.2022 2016 Templestowe Village Festival is Cancelled. MEDIA RELEASE Over the past 22 years the annual Templestowe Village Festival has evolved from a small local gathering to a nationally recognised, award winning, community street event attracting up to 20,000 people.... It is with great disappointment that the Templestowe Village Festival Committee has felt compelled to take the decision to suspend the festival for 2016: 2016 Templestowe Village Festival has been cancelled Cancellation is due to a lack of financial sponsorship and support As a Committee made up entirely of local community volunteers, we have maintained the promotion of the Village, its businesses and provided a unique ‘free’ community Festival as our primary focus. The Festival has possibly been the single largest marketing event for the Templestowe Village. The Festival takes many hundreds of hours to organise. Commitment to the festival as a desired and purposeful marketing strategy by the Traders Association is integral to its success. It is hoped that the festival will continue in the future as part of the common direction for the promotion of the Village. Raising the profile and popularity - of the Templestowe Village as a destination in the City of Manningham has taken a lot of passion, commitment and support from a lot of people. This includes some traders, some volunteers, some employed support personnel, some local councillors and council officers. We believe that everyone that has participated and added their energy to the festival can take pride in the evolution of the festival to the major event it has become over the years - attracting families to the Village from near and far. It may be taxing on the day, but the long term benefits result in a more vibrant and sustainable business centre. RELEASE DATE: 9 December 2015 - Immediate FESTIVAL CONTACT: Joan Planck , Co-ordinator - [email protected] MEDIA CONTACT: Andrew McIntosh, Optimize Business. [email protected]

12.01.2022 Good morning! We really appreciate the ongoing support of the Doncaster East & Templestowe Village Community Bank Branches of the Bendigo Bank at the Festival! But did you know they are also all round good citizens in so many ways? If someone in the Village has chest pain, dial 000 and get the AED from the Bendigo Bank Branch. ... It's easy to use as Kim demonstrates. And best of all, if you are a local community group, the Bank has a program where you can apply for your own AED? So drop in and say hi to one of our fantastic sponsors & if you are a local community group, ask about the AED program

07.01.2022 In days gone by, there was no such thing thing as ‘lock-down’ - today people would look at this pic in horror at the lack of social distancing. To those that were there, those that helped organise this community gathering, or those who had attended in the past, it’s a picture of nostalgia, smiling kids, families and friends. #Staysafe

06.01.2022 The Templestowe Village Festival has provided a free, unique, community festival to to tens of thousands of people for over two decades! In that time we've seen kids grow into parents and their children return to Festival, year after year. As we move into 2016, and reflect on all we done and shared together over that time, we'd ask anyone who would like to post a photo, video or favourite memory of the Festival to this page.... We are gathering a little virtual history time capsule here to remember all the great times we have shared together!

03.01.2022 Remember when ‘social distancing’ was a thing we had never heard of?

03.01.2022 Our friends at the Park Orchards BMX Club have always been great supporters our Festival. They help out with early morning set-up, late afternoon closing down & more: so get on your bike & pop on down to this great event:
