21.01.2022 Well 5 days until number 2 in Semaphore SA. I’ve been asked a few times of recent weeks on how I’m tracking since the run in Tassie and happy to report that I’ve been ticking over about 50k’s a week (apart from Golf Trip weekend ) and body is holding up pretty well (thanks for the maintenance Cam ). I’m also going to get better at sharing more about the journey, and over the next 13 weeks I’ll be punching out 4 marathons, including 2 trips to NZ. PS - when’s the last time you experienced something new? For me, Rage Against at the Corner Hotel!

12.01.2022 well time for an update, as it's been a while - the focus has been on keeping the family safe during these very crazy times. Since the last update the week before run no. 2 the following has happened: - I won my first ever marathon, winning the Grange Coastal in Semaphore, South Australia. (Only a small field, but a win is win they say!) - 2 marathons have been cancelled (Christchurch & Uluru)... - 2 marathons have been postponed (Canberra & Rotorua) to later in the year. The cancellations/postponements are first world problems and we all have much more important things to deal with and get through over the coming months. It has though led to me having to make some decisions about my plan to run 10 marathons in 2020, across Australia & NZ. After careful consideration , I have decided that given I won't actual be able to tick the 10 off in 10 different states / territories and NZ islands in 2020, that I have postponed this challenge until 2021! What does that mean - need to keep the body in good order over the coming months and prepare it again for a crack at it all again in 2021. What am I also putting out there - keen to hear from anyone who once we've been able to flatten the curve and our lives return to the new normal (we are all going to appreciate the simply things in life so much more) would like to join me on the quest to complete the ten10 challenge in 2021! Whether it be all 10 runs, or just 1 in your local abode - and it doesn't even have to be the full mara distance either! Take care people, stay safe, and please share this with others who might interested in joining me on this crazy adventure in 20201! Michelle Blackwood & Adam Blackwood still planning on doing Canberra in August - maybe just a quick road trip Cheryle-leigh Pratt the trip to Rotorua on hold honey! PS - The trip to Perth in August is all go Ché Jenkins just might be a different type of trip PPS - Fortunately for you Clint Bransgroveyou've got until May 20201 to get yourself run fit for our NZ trip PPPS - Still planning on doing the Melbourne mara in October Michael White & Billy Lacey so don't hang up those runners just yet lads! 12.01.2022 We often talk about having good mates or being a mate. But are you supporting your mates or are you enabling them ? Have you noticed changes or shifts in your ...mates behaviours or attitude towards things that have changed ? Are you the type of mate that cares enough to say hey that’s enough alcohol or drugs mate what’s really going on, or are you a type of mate that says fuck yeah I’ll drink myself stupid with you and take whatever else is on offer too ? We are all too concerned about impressing people and too scared to say to a mate bro this behaviour is not cool. We see and hear far to many stories of he was the life of the party he was always the centre of attention, he would do anything for anyone and so on. Ultimately everyone is fighting a few demons and alcohol and drug use will only make these worse, although it may seem they go away for that small period that you are drunk or high. Take a look at the picture below and if you notice any of these changes in anyone ask the tough question, have the conversation and be honest with them, don’t add to the situation by enabling behaviours that will make things worse. Be a real mate support don’t enable SPEAKING UP IS MANNING UP #SPEAKINGUPISMANNINGUP See more
