25.01.2022 OKAY OKAY OKAY. I might not have been posting, but I have been screen-shotting. Here we go with an interesting one for #microcopymondays I personally think this is a hilarious (and sadly heteronormative) analogy to draw. BUT I am not necessarily their target market, and they might have based this on their actual research. If this ad converts well, it's a great case study on why it's so important to know your ideal clients and find out how they feel, think and talk. I'd love ...to know how they came to this and how the ad performs. What do you think? #copywriter #facebookad #copywriting

25.01.2022 A great example of funny, relevant copy from ING that demonstrates they understand what their customers are going through.

24.01.2022 Alcohol brands are required to check you're over the legal drinking age, and there's a LOT of scope to have fun with it. The 'water please' here softens the 'rejection', while the 'beer please' helps reinforce the user's intent (which, ideally, is to purchase beer). #microcopymondays #marketing #copywriter

24.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT PART 1 Earlier this year, stuck at home feeling helpless during the bushfires, I asked myself how I can use my skills to help communities close to my heart. I shot out an email to the Queer Screen Film Festival and half a year later, I'm proud to be helping them out with their content marketing! https://queerscreen.org.au/the-queer-screen-film-fest-2020/... #QSFF #filmfestival #contentmarketing #copywriter

22.01.2022 Devastating! All I wanted to do was delete my account without the guilt trip! #microcopymondays

22.01.2022 This is the email header for this phone company, Circles.Life. Menu/navigation are often overlooked as a form of copy/microcopy but they have huge impacts on where people click-which is what copy is all about. I love the simplicity of this menu (although when I clicked through, they all seemed to go to the same landing page). #microcopymondays #emailmarketing #uxcopywriting

18.01.2022 I know it's not a Monday but I HAD to share this bit of microcopy from ASOS before Black Friday! #microcopymondays #microcopy #branding #copywriter

15.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT PART 2 I'm also in the process of rejigging my website. When it's live, it'll include a special something I've had in mind for a while: Every year, I'll open 4 slots for copywriting assistance for charities and non-profit organisations close to my heart. As someone who has, at times, been very solitary and highly connected to people, I know firsthand that community is what you make of it and sometimes you have to create your own purpose. Phew. That being said, h...ere's another #QSFF blog! https://queerscreen.org.au/how-to-access-queer-spaces-from/

13.01.2022 With a name like 'Really Good Emails, RGE have a lot to live up to. Luckily, their newsletters are a true study in using subject lines and preheader text creatively. #microcopymondays #emailmarketing #reallygoodemails

12.01.2022 If you know what your target audience really want, you can hit them with a succinct reason to join your mailing list. I also love how the 'no' option is a gentle 'not today', keeping it open for joining in the future. #microcopymondays #microcopy #emailmarketing #copywriter #conversioncopy

12.01.2022 Found this on a product page on a skincare website. It's a beautifully simple way overcoming the blockage many people have when it comes to skincare products - uncertainty about when and how to use it. #productpage #copywriter #conversion #ux

11.01.2022 Due to a scheduling mishap, today's #microcopymonday is in fact on a Tuesday. This example is from the opt-in process for a favourite email newsletter of mine, the apty name Really Good Emails. How you use people's data can be a tricky field to navigate, even more so getting them to agree to it. This is a beautifully simple example of telling them what you're be tracking and how it benefits them. #consumerpsychology #emailmarketing #copywritingtips

08.01.2022 For everyone who's decided to make that side hustle dream a reality during lockdown. Get your branding right the first time! #branding #freebie #workbook #copywriter #sidehustle

07.01.2022 I LOVE this type of self-aware humour. Humour can be quite tricky to work into your branding and whether this was planned or not, it makes it much more human and relatable. #branding #humour #brandingtips

07.01.2022 It was such a fantastic experience- thank you for providing the platform!

05.01.2022 Your email signature is an easily overlooked but VERY significant place for microcopy. You can use it to reiterate offers, strengthen your authority by listing your credentials/achievements, or inject your brand voice. Gill uses that real estate to acknowledge her possible typos, and frame them in a way that strengthens the value of the emails she sends. What could you do with your email signature space?

05.01.2022 If you gotta ask visitors to accept cookies, you might as well do it in style. This delicious example is from my copymama, ex-coach, current mentor, and forever fave @jaycrispcrow #copywriter #microcopymarketing

04.01.2022 The latest issue of Archer Magazine is available now with a Q&A with the incredible OKENYO by yours truly! Grab yourself a copy - you deserve it.

01.01.2022 Go home Grammarly, you drunk.
