02.01.2022 A NEW CLEANING DAY HAS DAWNED Cleaning is not just cleaning as we knew it anymore! This Pandemic has forced Cleaning & FM providers become the Professional organisations the industry has yearned it to be for decades. The organisations that have the correct protocols to service their clients on a SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE BASED CLEANING BASIS, leaves no grey areas in the service interpretation - compliance demands the service MUST be Black & White.... This means a documented paper trail; signed off and certified by regulatory bodies so Assets are being maintained to a compliant level, and Asset/Facility Managers can approach their tenants - who have their own "due process" to tick off prior to returning to work - to ensure their well being and pathway back is clear and transparent. The service providers that come to the table with a pro-active solution that has been in place prior to this pandemic, are the companies that are have taken significant commercial steps - not because its worth more money to them - but because they are the ones with the proven solution, track record and can be trusted by Asset Managers and Facility Managers to get the required task completed on time and in a compliant manner. The science behind cleaning now involves Biochemists and Occupational Hygienists, requiring: Pre and post service surface swabbing; Deep cleaning - of touch points, specific and general spaces; Certification of the process and products used by regulatory bodies; A documented end to end service trail leaving no question as to WHAT service has been provided, HOW the service was performed and by WHO including training, PPE, track record etc. The need for Managers to protect their BRAND and by extension their clients has become a giant learning curve for some - but is a natural extension for others. Managers cannot afford to put their organisation in compromising positions by guessing, when there are active providers who can tick a huge box in this challenging and specialist area of cleaning.
