25.01.2022 #selfiesunday Good afternoon folks! I just thought I’d surprise you all with a never to be repeated Selfie of the Tasty fencing team!... Just quietly Ive never been a big fan of the ole fencing but with the drier weather we have steers walking through wires left, right and centreI’m doing my best to act interested and so far we are still happily married! Chop chop, now back to work!

24.01.2022 Righto Folks it’s time to jump on board and help an old Farmer out! The Tasty Team is donating 30 acres of beautiful Gippsland rye grass silage to the NSW fire disaster zone at Kempsey NSW. After all.....I’m a Kempsey girl and that’s what Kempsey girls do! But we need your support!... Donations of this size come with a massive cost factor to those involved and I want to know my Contractors, Tractor Drivers, Truck Drivers and Farmhands who are donating their time, and machinery have what it takes to get this fodder donation in the hands of needy farmers who have lost ALOT! Just to name a few.... @tennessee_tasty is donating 30 acres of lush rye pasture, @rawprideorganics ,donating the cutting, Labourtouche Hay and Silage Ian Box, the Rake, Wrap and Bale, @timwilson8769 donating the retrieval, @neriberi assisting with truck driving and retrieval. Kevin Weismantel will coordinate drop off and distribution in the devastation zone at Willawarrin Macleay Valley. We are working on a donation of net and wrapping plastic! You can help with this by contributing to our GoFundMe! Our beautiful friends at NeedForFeed will freight over 150 bales into the disaster zone. While I figure out how to add a link for the GoFundMe to our profile...please head over to Facebook to make a donation to assist us in making this a huge success for the poor people of the Macleay.... #gofundme #donatenow #pleasehelp #nswfires #ittakesavillage #silage #farmershelpingfarmers #wecandothis #weneeddonations #pleasedigdeep See more

24.01.2022 #agirlandherdog Massive thanks to Paul and Anneke from @belokakelpiestud for an insightful day and helping our Bailey to be even better in and around the livestock. Perhaps we should have stayed for beers and snags as Port Welshpool fishing was bloody cold and highly uneventful!... #kelpie #workingdog #dogsofinstagram #familyfarming #kidsandtheirdogs #thanksforafabday #alwayslearning #kelpiesofficial #kelpiegram See more

23.01.2022 What a Wednesday! A Channel 9 Gippsland News Story, a $1000 Diesel Fuel contribution from Bonney Fuels Warragul and our GoFundMe reached $4000. Thanks again to Women in Gippsland and Warragul Farmers Market for helping our voice be heard. ... Thank you to the amazingly generous people in our Community.

22.01.2022 The Dog Fence 5600 kms of dog proof fencing protects the Sheep Industry in South Eastern Australia from Dingoes and Wild Dogs. Here we see a small section at dusk in South Australia not far from The Breakaways outside of Coober Pedy.... We are all loving our trip so far. Not too many complaints from the youngest travellers and wonderful reports from back home that the first set of twin lambs have hit the ground, commencing our rather late autumn lambing Watch for our Stories for all the sights of our travels and quite possibly a few laughs along the way. #sheepfarmers #travellingaround #dogfence #sheepcountry #cattlecountry #dingo #whitedorper #protectingagriculture #longestfenceintheworld @ Dog Fence See more

21.01.2022 #keepthedonationscoming UPDATE We are half way to our $4000 target for our GoFundMe.... Me & My Farmer Friend @timwilson8769 are working overtime to get the word out!! Tim is just an outright good bloke and was personally affected by the Bunyip fires earlier this year. He knows WHAT this donation ACTUALLY means to the fire affected Farmers of the Mid North Coast. We have a donation of a roll of silage (8 more needed if you’d like to make a tangible contribution) and Potter Family at Poowong will top up Semis as needed with Hay. We are still working hard for more donations and we would love some local agricultural businesses to get on board. Please share this! Comment on it! Tag ya mates! Better still..Donate!! 90 tonnes of silage is about to be removed from this one little Farm...Can you just imagine how many starving livestock will benefit from that!! #getonboard #farmershelpingfarmers #justgettowork #rollingupoursleeves #donatenow #pleasehelp #everylittlebithelps See more

20.01.2022 It’s ON again Farmworlds Fittest Farmer Micks training has been interrupted by excessive overseas travel this year but he lands back in Oz on next Friday night and has plans to sleep all day Saturday in readiness for the Big Event!... Maybe next year the REAL Farmer should have a crack?

18.01.2022 #motherfigure It was 5.53pm last night when my dramatic but ordinarily ‘good’ 7 yo daughter stormed into the kitchen after a day at her friends, huffed & puffed then rolled her eyes & proceeded to throw the hands in the air, & finally snort as she stamped back out of the kitchen, What’s for dinner? I can’t believe you haven’t even started dinner. What the hell have you been doing? ... Beside the fact that she used inappropriate language....I bit my tongue in shock, trying to process the scathing I’d just been dealt. #iswearalot #shelearnedthatfromme In true motherly form I set about preparing a from scratch beef chow mein style meal....super fast but super healthy & always a kid pleaser. #wecookfromscratch Interfered only by a one minute heated referee appointment whereby ‘she’ was NOT watching ‘Garfield (the Movie) regardless of the fact we live with 2 of the most loved ginger farm cats. #sorrygarfieldshewasonaroll While eating dinner I asked Mr 9 who had a rest day at home with me, to share with Miss D what the hell, we got up to. #theyknowwheretofindme I got an award at football but we lost, Mum did canteen duty, picked up stuff from the PO (and guess what, she didn’t even get a coffee!). Got vegetable bins, think Mum fed lambs, fed the ewes, think she dropped some silage over the fence to the horses too as they never stop eating, we moved the steers, checked the electric fences cos the steers busted the creek Hotwire yesterday and have been naughty again, had 5 minutes with Bailey dog training cos Dad said she has to every day, brought in 3 bins off the road, washed my wet footy clothes cos it rained the whole game, and now i’ve got the sniffles. Sorted that kitchen bench where we can’t find our photo forms (), I don’t know....probably paid some people, she didn’t even do her rehab cos she cut her finger badly, rushing to go get you....That’s a bit mean what you said to Mum... #truestory Emotions aside, #mumlife is the hardest gig on the planet....so to all you mums out there.....doing it, living it, and feeling like you’re barely surviving it........#youreamazing! #mothersday #whitedorper See more

14.01.2022 It’s with great excitement we announce that the Tasty Team is moving to Europe. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has supported our little farm since 2013. 13.01.2022 #goodpeopledoinggoodthings Our donation would not have been possible without incredible farmers like Ian & Janelle Box from Labertouche Hay & Silage. Responsible for the rake, bale & wrap, Ian was the backbone of our donation and besides cursing at me for taking more bloody photos () was a champion from beginning to end! #fairdinkumaussie... In action last Friday Ian had: Dave Fauls on the CLAAS rake Tylah Smith in the 824 & McHale Fusion Vario Baler Arron Cosgrove in the 820 & McHale Fusion Vario Baler Ian was instrumental in co-ordinating his team, responding to maintenance, fielding more calls, and did not leave Tennessee until the last bale was safely stacked. #thanksmate Ian also played a huge part in assisting local farmers caught in the path of our recent Victorian Bunyip Fires. By hoeing ground on the banks of the Bunyip River, they managed to ease the spread of fire jumping the River and then helping farmers get back on their feet with fencing & fodder needs. We can’t thank Ian & Janelle enough for the massive donation of time, labour and machinery to make this fodder donation happen. Please support businesses like this who also have their hand in helping farmers not just profiting from them. The tension in our Donation bales is incredible and super duper heavy so if you’re tired of sloppy silage don’t be afraid to give Labertouche Hay and Silage a call for your next job. 13.01.2022 #iwd2019 May we raise our daughters to be twice as strong as we are No licence needed for these guns just a good sense of humour to keep on, keeping strong, on the Farm!... 2019 is proving a very challenging one for the Tasty Team. Recent work changes has Mick working overseas which means I’m running solo on the Farm. From seized foot valves to shorting water pumps to rock hard ewes feet to steers in the neighbors. Yet another tree smashes a fence. Another horse breaks a water float! But, all lambs have been delivered for @lardnerpark Regional Longest Lunch and @melbfoodandwine Village Feast in Jindivick! All other livestock are looking fabulous on full time Silage and daily treats and our next lamb run for private customers is 4 weeks. #flexfriday #stronggirls #farmgirl #internationalwomensday #womenwhofarm #nobull #farmlife #whitedorpersheep #eatlocal #thankafarmer #farmtotable #stillsmiling See more

07.01.2022 #everydayhero Yesterday Ben Elliott, Jindivick Dairy Farmer and Black Saturday Fire Survivor.....donated his time, and machinery to mow 30 acres of Tennessee’s pastures for Mid North Coast Fire Victims Silage Donation. The task took Ben over 3 hours and at 7pm he left our Farm headed back to his own Farm to knock down another 100 hectares!... February 2009 Ben lost 500 bales of silage AND his home in Victoria’s devastating Black Saturday Fires. He lost all of his house contents and 300 acres out of his available 360 acres of pasture, burnt to a cinder. Ben lived in an Acco demountable building while rebuilding his Farm. When asked how he went about rebuilding his Farm, Ben gave the humble and simple answer..... I worked my arse off. We cannot thank Ben enough for his contribution to our donation and it’s just another amazing story highlighting depth of personal character and resilience of the Aussie Farmer.
