03.01.2022 What a fabulous day at our club yesterday for the Junior Tournament and thank goodness the rain stopped in time!! We had 60 kids participating over the day, pla...ying both singles and doubles. There are many people to thank without whom the tournament would not have been possible. A huge thank you to the Dbk Tennis Club Committee for their support of the tournament, including the Grounds Committee for all the hard work that goes into managing our fantastic grass courts. It was great to see our new hard courts and hitting wall in full use too, after the hard work that went in to renewing them. Many thanks to Graeme Guidici for line marking the courts (in the rain) & to Brad Fowler for cleaning up the grounds. Well done & thank you to Andrew Woodward of Tennis Excellence Bunbury, Nigel Tuia & Kyla for running the tournament so smoothly with such a tight schedule & Aidan Hutchinson for ably assisiting in the office. Alan Coxall loaned the club his sound system equipment and set it all up & cleared it away - much appreciated. Thanks to all the kitchen helpers - Darryl Brown, Leanne Abas, Stacey & Chelsea Hutchinson, Sharon Babich, Paula & (the very cute) Erin du Plessis, Michelle Sutton & Dianne Da Re & all who donated cakes & slices - too many to name. Also thanks to the parents from other clubs who offered their assistance. Many thanks also to BBQ King Jamie Piotrowski for cooking the burgers and to Prime Organics and Ann & Gordon Clifford for the donations of fruit . Well done to all the players who took part & thanks to the parents who came to support them. Donnybrook Tennis Club was well represented in the competition with Josh Emmott, Ryan Babich & Scott Tuia making up three of the four players in the Open Division Singles Semi Finals. Scott was the eventual winner beating Josh in the final. Ryan & Scott were successful in the Open Division Doubles with Joel Brown & Euan Tuia losing a tight game to be runners-up in the 12U doubles. A great day!

03.01.2022 Can your child serve overarm or donkey drop (underarm serve) and rally? Then the Super Series is for them... we have one running tomorrow at TE Blue Gum 9am for red, 11am for orange and green. Ace will also be making an appearance too. C’mon give it a go . Then TE Nedlands are also running one on Sunday. What a great weekend!!!
