25.01.2022 Health Tips with Kerry Dock - Get sun every day for Vitamin D - Eat mostly healthy - choose the foods that you know work for you but its OK to eat a little of anything that tastes nice. - Its best to eat anything that you know has helped your body system feel strong and energetic previously - Fruit, veggies, dairy, cereal, any sources of protein... - Run and get your heart rate up = cardio as often as you can - Put your body under some stress - one of my best trainers, Luke Borregine, a 4 time Australian & Olympic Head Coach called it "Shocking the body - its old school, but its logical and works.....Just dont overdo it. 23.01.2022 As a member coach of Tennis Australia, I will carefully talk a little treason. What a shame that the Hopman Cup has been axed for tennis fans. Someone at TA should be axed for allowing a this to happen. I feel sure that it was a valuable asset - a jewel

22.01.2022 This film clip taken by Dad Pancho, shows Cindy Dock playing a practice match with Alex in Alicante Spain in 2005 in between her playing the WTA circuit in Europe. Already Alex at age 6, was living half the year in Sydney and the other half in Spain. Cindy Dock was Alexs 1st Tennis coach at Carss Park in Sydney 2003 when Alex walked in at age 3 and 9 months.

20.01.2022 No moving us over to watching the mens ATP cup instead of the Mixed tournament in Perth and having Nick Kyrgios bleeding for our Bush Fire victims - being a purist and historian of Tennis, I see this as propaganda that makes me puke. No I have to be honest here. Enough is enough Tennis Australia, not all of us are sheep.

15.01.2022 Tennis coach Kerry Dock would never teach kids below the age of four but when he saw a three-and-a-half year-old Alex De Minaur in Carss Park in Sydneys south, he knew he had to make an exception. In his third lesson, the toddler was serving over the net from the baseline. By the age of six, De Minaur was rallying against Dock and, by the age of 10, he nearly beat Dock in a three-set match. Its now of no surprise to Dock that a 21-year-old De Minaur is now in the quarter-fi...nals of the US Open. "I normally dont take kids that young but he was already hitting the wall on the garage every day for three hours," Dock said. "He would have been the youngest ever. Alex was the perfect student." De Minaur is the last remaining Australian in the US Open after powering his way past Canadian Vasek Pospisil in straight sets on Tuesday morning to set the stage for a quarter-final clash against the new tournament favourite, Dominic Thiem. De Minaurs 7-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over the unseeded Pospisil in the fourth round elevated him into the final eight of a grand slam and, according to his junior coach of four years, the Australian public shouldnt be surprised if De Minaur can go even further. "Dont bet against Alex because hes better than he looks," Dock said. "Hes constant, he doesnt have big shots but hes like Lleyton Hewitt. He grinds away and is just constant. Now that Djokovic is out of it, its the perfect time for him to win it." https://www.smh.com.au//the-perfect-student-de-minaur-s-ri

14.01.2022 Some Australian Tennis history. I lived and breathed it from 1969 when Rod Laver was allowed to play again and won his 2nd Gran Slam through to 1985 when I became more of a coach than a player, and the rest of the world became more competitive. Sydney and NSW up To then was the equal top place in the world for Tennis - just ask Kim Warwick who is doing a great job as President of Tennis New South Wales now

13.01.2022 Naomi Osaka won $57.3m US to become the highest paid woman athlete ever in the past year. We dont expect to produce this at Blast Sports but one of our goals is to nurture and support players all over Australia who wish to compete at elite level to at least get closer to this dream. Please support us at www.blastsports.com.au and stay tuned in the next few months to the initiatives we have planned for players starting off in the South West of Sydney by an enthusiastic team o...f ex-players including myself, who know we can produce some top players from this area. So this is the photo I chose for you to view. Its because all top tennis players do their earliest apprenticeship on a hitting wall. Great thing is its usually free and unlimited. Our plan at Blast Sports is to make Tennis more affordable and team based for both our players and coaching staff. We will organise more walls for our players. See more

10.01.2022 At Deverall Park, Tennis Blast held a camp which attracted 30 kids children aged 4 to 16 today, Thu 23rd Jan, in the 40 degree heat. We resorted to throwing cups and trays of water around to cool us down. Theres not even a tap to attach a hose at this 6 court centre. World no 21, and Australias no 2 player, Alex Di Minaur started with Tennis Blasts coaches Kerry and Cindy Dock when he was 4 years old when they operated as The Sydney Private Tennis Academy at Carss Park in... Sydney Kerry Dock at todays prize presentation, told every junior and their parents, "that each one of you are superstars in my eyes today for staying out in the heat for 4-6 hours playing matches against each other, without any complaints or negativity. You all toughed it out and were great sports most importantly. There were no tantrums, arguments or negativity when any of you lost, so you were all big winners today. Cindy Dock who coached Alex from age 4 to 7 said, that Tennis Blasts lessons included lots of mental training that turns the kids from bad losers to good sports in just a few weeks.
