25.01.2022 WE ARE EXCITED TO FINALLY BE BACK ON THE COURT! Why not join us for a social hit on Wednesday or Thursday & get your body moving again. Sign in on arrival. Clubhouse remains closed but toilets are open.... Wear a face mask prior to & after play. Sanitize hands on arrival & departure. Maintain 1.5m distancing at all times. Max 10 people in the facility at any one time. 24.01.2022 So being unsure of the plans about lockdown we will wait till the future becomes clearer before we settle on the AGM date if we can we would prefer an old styl...e meeting where you can scream and shout at us if not we will have to resort to zoom or something either way we will continue to do our best for the club but consider this the committee gains no reward for the work we do it is a thankless task even so we do our best, we need to spread the load we need people with a better understanding of the digital world so we can get a wider reach to gain members and make admin easier so any volunteers would great and we need younger people who can look with fresh eyes and fresh ideas to take our club forward please become involved ok all take care See more

22.01.2022 To all members and followers of the Hastings tennis club I hope this extra special message finds you and yours all well and coping in these extremely difficult ...COVID 19 times. To all our members who have supported the Hastings Tennis Club and renewed your memberships for 20-21 and paid your fees a big shout out and thank you to you guys for your ongoing support which is fantastic.. We are looking forward to the end of the COVID lockdown But we need all our members yes you guys who have enjoyed the resources, good times and facilities of our club to renew their membership for 20-21 and pay their fees, which are among the most affordable Tennis Club Fees on the whole Peninsula. Information just in the last month or so we have bills totalling nearly $2000, Rent Mornington Peninsula Shire $500, Court maintenance for courts 3 & 4 $800. for Repair to water leak on courts 1 &2 $638. Which equates to about $1900. We are trying to negotiate with the shire for them to cover the costs of $1400 for the water and court maintenance and delay the rent payment, which would help us weather the COVID storm, at this time they are very negative with any assistance. Ongoing communication with them is continuing . In the meantime we will proceed with our AGM online using the Zoom App to include committee members, in preparations will send nomination forms for all committees positions to all paid up members, so if you want give the committee a kick on or want to join us and help YOUR Tennis Club survive whichever way you want to go, you need to be a current paid up member in order for you to have an eligible vote.
