25.01.2022 WA hosted Australia’s largest Red Ball Gala event with 300 students hitting the courts of Alexander Park Tennis Club on last Friday for the Catholic Primary Schools Sporting Associations annual competition. The 300 years 5 and 6 students came together from 13 metropolitan Catholic primary schools for the interschool round robin event, with the match play format aimed at ensuring the delivery of a fun and social team tennis competition. 24.01.2022 Committed to supporting WA’s aspiring female junior tennis players, longstanding volunteer group Women in Tennis (WIT) held a fundraising Garden Party earlier this month, with author and Kimberly Diamonds founder Frauke Bolten-Boshammer as special guest speaker. Set amongst the beautiful private gardens of WIT Treasurer Kerry Edwards, the 164 guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea and raised funds that currently assist 14 junior female tennis players from across WA, including a number of Australia’s top ranked junior players, in achieving their tennis dreams. 22.01.2022 The Australian Sports Foundation Active Kids Grant has been established with the aim of providing every child with the active childhood they deserve, by supplying them with the equipment required to participate in sporting activities. These grants focus on volunteer run clubs and will provide funding assistance for members under 20 years old. Clubs in disadvantaged and/or rural communities are strongly encouraged to apply. 18.01.2022 Next weekend will see the final event of the 2020 Hills Grand Slam take place, with players hailing from all Perth Hills clubs, as well as further afield The doubles and mixed doubles travelling tournament started in 2006, and each year four clubs play host to an event emulating one of world's most prestigious tournaments. The 2020 Hills Grand Slam kicked off in February at Lesmurdie Tennis Club Inc. (Australian Open) followed by Maida Vale Tennis Club (Roland Garros), before COVID-19 temporarily halted all play. The tournament returned in full force last week at Kalamunda Tennis Club (US Open), concluding at Midland Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon) next Sunday. Congratulations to all players, volunteers, supporters, and clubs on this incredible collaborative event!

The December Showdown and the Australian Grasscourt Championships (Cottesloe TC) will not be held due to ongoing restrictions in place.
