25.01.2022 Parents and carers we need your feedback. Tell Them From Me - 2020 Parent Survey: To access the survey for our school go to: ... http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/zzcg4 Our school will be participating in the Partners in Learning parent survey, another part of the Tell Them From Me suite of surveys (student, teacher and parent surveys) on student engagement. The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student wellbeing and engagement. Running this survey will help our school understand parents and carers perspectives on their childs experience at school. These include: communication between parents/carers and staff, activities and practices at home and parent/carer views on the school's support of learning and behaviour. This valuable feedback will help our school make practical improvements. The survey is conducted entirely online on smartphones, iPads, tablets, laptops or computers. The survey will typically take 15 minutes or less to complete and is completely confidential. The survey will be open for input until Friday 23rd October, or until the survey is completed by 100 respondents. Although participating in the survey is entirely voluntary, your responses are very much appreciated. Please take the time to complete the survey and thank you to all families who are able to help us to plan our future directions.

23.01.2022 Beats in Bruxner Over 3 weekends from Saturday 26 September, Beats in Bruxner will bring life to Tenterfields main shopping & dining precinct. Visitors to Tenterfields main shopping and dining precinct will be treated to a special musical soundtrack to enhance their retail and dining experience over the coming weekends. Beats in Bruxner is an initiative developed by the Tenterfield Chamber of Tourism, Industry & Business with the view of reactivating our regional township f...ollowing community hardship caused by drought, bushfires and COVID-19, whilst providing local musicians with a live performance platform. Over three weekends from Saturday 26 October between 10am 2pm, local musicians such as Jess Lockwood, Christine Davis, Helen Conway, Peter Harris, and more will base themselves near Bruxner Park on Rouse Street, providing an added ambience to the main street. Local businesses are encouraged to extend their opening hours to 2pm over these weekends to maximize the economic benefits. This initiative will operate under the Outdoor Council of Australias Framework for Rebooting Outdoor Activities in a COVID-19 Environment and it is important that all current NSW Health advice and guidelines are adhered to, including not gathering as a crowd. Please note that Beats in Bruxner will be weather dependent. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.

23.01.2022 With warmer weather and longer days ahead, amendments have been made to the Public Health Order most significantly relating to private gatherings; with all at...tendees now risking $1000 Penalty Infringement Notices (PINs) if the gathering exceeds the allowed 20-person limit. Where previously, only the organiser of a gathering was liable to receive a fine if the number of people at the premises breached the Public Health Order, every person in attendance will now be held individually responsible for the breach. The changes, which came into effect at midnight (Monday 14 September 2020), aim to ensure the safety of the community ahead of an expected increase in gatherings associated with Christmas and end-of-year festivities. Operation Corona Virus Commander, Assistant Commissioner Tony Crandell, said that as with the previous restrictions, these amendments have been made with community safety in mind. Coming into the warmer months, and with end-of-year festivities around the corner, its only natural that people will have additional reasons to want to gather and get together, Assistant Commissioner Crandell said. These amendments aim to ensure that an increase in expected gatherings doesnt mean an increase in COVID-19 cases. The new changes come in addition to other restrictions which remain in place, including a limit on numbers at outdoor gatherings and licensed premises. NSW Police will continue to work with the community to ensure compliance to all restrictions under the Public Health Order. While the vast majority of people within NSW are doing their part, we will continue to target those who dont, Assistant Commissioner Crandell said. Other amendments have also come into effect that impact places of worship, auctions/open homes, weddings, and party buses. To view the restrictions on gatherings and movement in full, please visit the following link: https://www.nsw.gov.au//what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rul

11.01.2022 Tea and Talk - Recipe Challenge 21st Sept 2020 During the week, please make a recipe using zucchini, as they are in season during winter. This could be a sweet or savory dish. Use a recipe you love or try something new. At Tea & Talk on Monday 21st June we can discuss what we have made, share the recipe and talk about how tasty it was. You may like to take a photo of your creation to share or bring it along to show at the Zoom get together, depending on when you have cooked your cauliflower recipe. We may keep this as an ongoing theme with a different ingredient each week. Let me know if this is something you would like to happen. I could then collate all the recipes into a booklet to distribute.

04.01.2022 "Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh. There was a pause. "Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet. "No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do...." "That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend. "What are you doing?" asked Pooh. "Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either. "But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh." And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
