24.01.2022 For our recent Mother's Day celebrations, our children made special Mother's Day cupcakes with their Educators. Later that day, our wonderful mum's were invited to help the children decorate their cupcakes which were shared with all our families (QA1: Educational Program & Practice, QA6: Partnerships With Families)

24.01.2022 The latest addition to our Toddler and Kindy outdoor play space...a water pump and terraced water channel...right in time for summer (Quality Area 3: Physical Environment)

22.01.2022 The second new addition to our Toddler & Kindy outdoor play space...a Tee-Pee for creative and imaginative play. Jasmine creepers have been planted in between the natural jarrah timbers which will hopefully create additional shade by growing all the way to the top. The Jasmine flowers smell amazing already . 21.01.2022 New sensory/activity wall for our Baby Room Outdoor Play-space. Thank you to our families for contributing some of the items. (QA 3: Physical Environment, QA 6: Partnerships With Families)

19.01.2022 A very big thank you to Maria and Linda from Noranda Child Care Centre for sharing their 6-seater and 4-seater prams with us in our recent excursion to Inglewood Australia Post. (QA6: Partnerships with Communities)

19.01.2022 Thank you to all our wonderful families who were able to make it to our end of year party in Hyde Park last weekend :) The water playground was a big hit for the kids, as was the entertainment from Eliza the Elf and the surprise appearance from Santa :) Wishing each and every one of you a safe happy festive season (Quality Area 5: Relationship's With Children, Quality Area 6: Partnership's With Families & Communities)

17.01.2022 During our Anzac Day celebrations, our Centre collected non-perishable items, from our families and community members, which were posted in the form of a 'Care Package' to our Australian soldiers serving overseas. It was a wonderful way to extend our learning from Anzac Day into teaching our children how to show kindness and generosity to others. We used this opportunity to take our children on an excursion to Australia Post in Inglewood where they posted our Care Packages.

17.01.2022 Today our children had a visit from 'Junior Goals' which is a positive introduction to sport and learning through an easy and fun soccer session! All the children had lot's of fun and who knows...we might have some future Perth Glory stars in our mix :) (QA 1: Educational Program & Practice)

16.01.2022 This week our children had a special visit from Fireman Kevin and his retired 1960 Bedford Fire Engine. Fireman Kevin read the children a story about fire safety, the children had a turn using the fire hose and got to go on a ride on the Fire Engine. This incursion ties in with our current curriculum which includes learning about the different types of jobs that people have and how they can help the wider community. (QA 1: Education Program & Practice, QA 2: Partnerships with Families & Communities)

16.01.2022 Today we held our quarterly Emergency Evacuation Drill to help our staff and children be best prepared in the event of a real emergency. Here you can see our children and staff going through their procedures at our emergency evacuation assembly point. Today's drill related to a fire in the kitchen. The children and staff did really well and we most certainly took away a few points we can improve upon for the next drill. Safety comes first above all else! 15.01.2022 Last weekend our staff took part in a professional development session to maintain their Senior First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications. The training had a special focus on providing an emergency response for children within an education and care setting. Our families were also invited to join us for the training which was simply awesome - we all walked out of the session buzzing with positive energy. Safety is always our first priority! A special thank you to Sam Kerridge from We Train You, who is a phenomenal trainer, and our wonderful families who joined us on the day. (QA 2: Children's Health & Safety, QA 6 Partnerships With Families)

05.01.2022 With Mother's Day falling on a Sunday, our Monday morning Mum's were greeted on arrival with a special morning tea consisting of home made blueberry muffins, freshly made croissant's and barista made coffee from our Centre Manager!

03.01.2022 Last week our children had a special visit from one of our Kindy Room parents, Carrie, who previously worked as part of the Cabin Crew for Emirates Airlines. Our children learnt about airplanes, where they travel, special sites around the world (which Carrie visited) and about the role of Cabin Crew. Some children were brave enough to try on the Emirates Airlines hat :) Thank you very much to Carrie for taking the time to visit us! We all found your visit so interesting .
