24.01.2022 Mental Bowral is a great local gallery with an ambitious exhibition program and series of events. This event taps into communities affected by last season's fires and the conversations around growth and resilience.

21.01.2022 Very proud to see Jenny Salter exhibiting in her new home town of Goulburn. Jenny worked at the gallery with us for almost the entire time we were open. This Gallery on Track in Goulburn is a brilliant community run space with a real diversity of work. The creative community of the Goulburn region is well serviced by Southern Tablelands Arts Goulburn Regional Art Gallery
15.01.2022 a great series of jam making workshops for the coming school holidays.
13.01.2022 Things are getting interesting in the SH! I have been working within a long-standing committee to re-establish a regional gallery in the Southern Highlands. The Southern Highlands Regional Art Gallery was established in Moss Vale in 1992 and ran a busy schedule of exhibitions, education and international exchanges. In 1998 the physical gallery space in which they had been operating was no longer available so they moved into offices in Bowral and continued their work of build...ing a collection and raising funds. The committee has recently expanded and there is a renewed push to build a community of members and lay the groundwork for a future gallery. We have recently organised exhibitions of work Plant Motifs from the collection and have initiated an annual drawing prize to be judged by Tony Ameneiro. We have registered a domain and set up a Facebook page Southern Highlands Art Gallery. We have also started the process of registration to receive tax deductible donations. This is a key strategy for us to raise funds to build a space that can encompass all of our ambitions. If you would like to get involved it's easy to become a member, just fill out the form below. We have a range of sub committees with vacancies and we would appreciate your help! We also have an event coming up where you can meet the committee and hear more about the plans as well as enjoy an exhibition and a glass of wine! The Call for entries - Wingecarribee Drawing Prize - due 9th May opens at 6pm, Friday 18th May at the Bowral Art Gallery (formerly BDAS). We would love to have you along to share our excitement at this new chapter in the creative life of the Southern Highlands. https://goo.gl/forms/4DAAOrABag2afC903
