24.01.2022 Love Gorge(ing), love traveling, love Queensland? So do we, that's why we took a trip to Cobbold Gorge. Being there was great, getting there was, well, read on to find out... Our latest review by the Tent - Cobbold Gorge http://www.tenttrailercaravan.com.au//cobbold-gorge-nort/

24.01.2022 Don't know the exact name of the bakery, but if you are coming in to Macksville from the south, its at the first service station you come to. Fuel and a vanilla slice, what more could you want.

23.01.2022 Not at the snow yet, but Goulburn is helping us to acclimatise this morning.

20.01.2022 On the road again. Guess where?

20.01.2022 Mark Bateman I think you need this.

19.01.2022 Now this is going to spoil that great camping game of "Lets watch those campers fold up their shower tent", but I suppose if it helps someone....

16.01.2022 How fantastic does this sound. Have always wanted to visit Kilivan Bush Camping. I'm pretty sure I'll be working, but it sure does sound like a great time.

16.01.2022 Now, if everyone learns this technique, what are we going to laugh about while packing up from camping.

15.01.2022 Always been one of our favorite places to camp on the Sunshine Coast. Can't wait for it to be up and running again.

15.01.2022 STATION SITTER REQUIRED A couple is required for a remote station in Georgetown QLD. The station is 28km west of Georgetown (only 8km of dirt road). You do... not have to have station experience, but having the ability to problem solve and have a "give it a go" attitude is a big advantage. Duties: Feed 11 chooks (let out and collect eggs) and 5 pigs. Feed and exercise 3 dogs (could be less, could be a couple more) a quad is supplied so use this. Let out goats (there are 3 kids...so so cute..gotta cuddle) in the morning. Put them away at night and pat Donkey for being a good boy (he is the goats protector during the day). Feed 9 poddys, I think they are getting Hay and grain. Collect the mail twice weekly (mail box 1.5 from homestead) and process. Water the lawns and mow when needed. Water and maintain the garden and you can eat your way thru whatever is ready. Keep the water up to the Turkey Nest that supplys the homestead. Its an electric pump so no pull starting, and it is about 1.5km from the homestead, take the quad again. You might think this is a lot, but it does not take that long to do it all. We know because we sit this station ourselves and have done for the past 4 years, so you are welcome to contact us anytime to ask questions and you also have family members close at hand. For more details send through a private message or join the caravan and camping group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1925851221031932/

13.01.2022 My favourite camping gadgets- My sister Tryphena Jane De Vere bought this mini fan for us a couple of Christmas' ago. It was never real suitable for the tent but works perfect with the high roof on the trailer. I picked up this mini washing machine from Crazy sales for our two week stint at Ballina. It works a treat! A fantastic bargain at $90 delivered... Another Christmas present from another sister Kath Kath Bateman. After 8hrs (yes, 8 hrs) in the kayaks and our water is still icy cold thanks to these thermos style water bottles. Life changer!! The camp recliner is a brilliant piece of equipment that everyone should own. Especially perfect for those seedy days (like New Year's Day) when being upright for longer then it takes to grab a black aspirin (coke) from the esky is all you can bare. Unfortunately mine is out drying after the hail storm that whipped through here yesterday arvo. And... my other must have camping gadget is the Sippy-cup; insulated, drop proof and a straw for those camp recliner moments when sitting up to drink is to challenging in a world where your primary goal is relaxing.

12.01.2022 Heading North for the winter ? Would you like to lay over at Midskinrick Lodge & Camping for a while as a caretaker ? We have a vacancy for a caretaker at our r...iverside campground.
