18.01.2022 Company Title is one of the three widely-used legal instruments for dividing land or buildings into title for areas for exclusive occupation that are fully saleable and transferable. Company Title operates under the Commonwealth Corporations Act (2001); Subdivision and Community Title operate under State Government legislation. Company Title has a long history throughout Australia right up to the present. It was widely used throughout Australia until the 1960s when states leg...islated Strata or Community Title which, as a form of subdivision, was taken up by land professionals familiar with subdivision. Nonetheless, Company Title has continued in use, and its benefits and advantages again are being more widely recognized. Brisbane-based Tenure Solutions has modernized all the documentation required to establish Company Title over buildings and land and offers the titling service. Unlike Subdivision under which local councils have decision-making powers, Company Title is not subject to council approval.
