18.01.2022 When you think about a standard bathroom routine, most will have a daily routine for the hair, the teeth, but not much for the feet. Keeping your feet clean and... dry will help reduce the risk of infection, and the good news is, it’s quick and easy to add your valuable feet to your daily routine. #letspreventamputations #dfaguidesyouthrough #endingavoidableamputations #DFA2019 Australian Podiatry Association (Qld) Inc Australian Podiatry Association Advanced Practicing Podiatrists - High Risk Foot Group Wounds Australia Wound Innovations Regional Wounds Victoria Podiatry Western Australia

16.01.2022 Contemplating a trip to Warrnambool for your child's school shoes? Why not drop into the clinic this week to check out the Garvalin - Biomecanics range.

16.01.2022 It is often hard to know when and if you should take your child to see a podiatrist. Here are some signs to look out for. #FHW19 #foothealthau #standupforyourhealth #podiatryaustralia #foothealth

04.01.2022 It's a big week, with the Australian Podiatry Conference starting in Adelaide today, and the 8th International Symposium on the Diabetic Foot about to kick off ...in the Netherlands. And with diabetic foot disease now found to cause a greater use of health and hospital services than all other common diseases, there couldn't be a better time to start a global push to end avoidable amputations within a generation. Now if you don’t happen to be hanging around the Netherlands this week, the good news is we're bringing international superstars Fran Game, Larry Lavery and Jaap van Netten down under to the DFA 2019 Conference in September. So do yourself a favour, get yourself a registration and chat with the world’s best - all without the long international flight and jetlag! https://www.diabeticfootaustralia.org/conference-2019/ #letspreventamputations #dfaguidesyouthrough #endingavoidableamputations #DFA2019 Australian Podiatry Association Advanced Practicing Podiatrists - High Risk Foot Group Wounds Australia Regional Wounds Victoria Podiatry Western Australia Wound Innovations Pedorthic Association of Australia Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons Diabetes Queensland

02.01.2022 Remember to Slip, Slop, Slap this #FootHealthFriday It may be February but summer is still in full swing. It’s always a great idea to make the most of ...the great weather but we should also keep in mind the risks associated with exposure to harmful UV rays. Skin cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Australia. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your feet. The feet are easily forgotten during sunscreen application, so remember to slop that sunscreen on literally from head to toe. Check your feet regularly for moles, growths or marks and note any changes in shape, colour or height, as these could be signs of melanoma. If you check your skin regularly it will be easier to identify changes as soon as they occur. Don’t forget to check in between your toes, underneath your toenails and on the soles of the feet, as these are areas where melanomas often occur. For more information on conditions of the foot and lower limb, check in with your local APodA member podiatrist for an expert opinion.
