25.01.2022 BOOK LOVERS! DATE FOR THE DIARY. I can't wait to meet all 11 authors who are coming to the inaugural Book Feast on the Sunshine Coast. And the feature authors a...re the awesome Cass Moriarty (The Promise Seed & Parting Words) and Terence J. Quinn Author (The Scoop). It's a chance to also meet other book lovers in the community - and it's FREE! All you need to do is turn up. Bring a friend if you'd like. There's drinks for sale & also light refreshments provided courtesy of Friends of Libraries, and we'll be upstairs in the lovely event room at Maroochydore Library. Other authors coming along include little ol' me, and also Shelley Davidow Emma Middleton Elaine Ouston Sarah Williams Paul Williams Kate Steele Deborah Carlyon and Rose Allan. Wow! And if you're not on the Sunshine Coast, watch this space for when Book Feasts are rolled out around Australia. See more

22.01.2022 This is Johnny Nasser, a Sydney-based stage and screen actor who plays my protagonist Jonno Bligh in the audiobook version of The Scoop. He and I had a brief chat before he started narrating the book at the Audiobrien sound studios in Sydney last week. Lovely bloke. Appeared in three movies, Home & Away and many theatre plays. The audiobook will be available from WaveSound in January.

20.01.2022 Before I was even 10 years old (and we’re talking a looong time ago!), I was a weekly visitor to Woodside Public Library in Glasgow. It gave me the first taste of the wonderful world of words and I’ve had a great appetite for books and reading ever since. That’s why I am thrilled to be a part of #BookFeasts, a new initiative by the #Friends of Libraries Australia (FOLA). The inaugural ‘Feast’ will be held at Maroochydore Library on Saturday, November 24 at 2:30pm. Hosted by #Friends of Maroochydore Library Inc and #Sunshine Coast Libraries, there will be a dozen authors (including me) cooking up an appetizing menu of sparkling conversation, creative ideas and great reads. So book lovers, why not pop along and tuck in?

17.01.2022 AUDIOBOOK? SOUNDS GOOD TO ME! There was that one time when we got back from a two-hour drive from the airport. We had just flown into Brisbane from LA and were exhausted. Yet, when we arrived home, we sat in the car for a further ten minutes in the garage. Had we fallen asleep? Locked ourselves in? Or forgotten the house keys? None of the above. In fact, we had been listening to an audiobook actress Sheila Hancock’s tribute to her dead husband John Thaw, if I remember r...Continue reading
