22.01.2022 You can absolutely have your cake and eat it too!! We enjoyed this cake yesterday with family as we continued our Christmas celebrations. Inspired by Mum I’m happy to say it brought on nostalgia for her as it reminded her of Mum and Dad’s wedding cake 53 years ago. They had 500 guests at their wedding and a massive 7 tier wedding cake.... Continental cake is still a popular choice of cake these days and consists of a light sponge cake soaked in a alcohol based syrup, filled with chocolate and vanilla pastry cream with the sides covered with Chantilly cream and toasted flaked almonds..... When I have this cake I feel like I’m home
