20.01.2022 Termites have turned what was once a ceiling joist into what looks like pea straw. This was found during a follow-up inspection of a building that we treated a couple weeks earlier. The good news is no more termite activity was found.

We will be continuing to carry out ‘business as usual’ where possible, but will be modifying our work p...ractices and asking clients to help us by following the information listed below. The safety of our clients, technicians and their families is critically important to us. The strategies we are putting in place reflect this and are formed by current government advice. The coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness caused by a new virus. Symptoms include fever, coughing, sore throat and shortness of breath. The virus can spread from person to person, but good hygiene can prevent infection. Due to the nature of our duties we are regularly in contact with people and their belongings. It is extremely important that increased precautions are undertaken to ensure client and technician safety. This won’t be an easy time. Our responses are in line with expert advice. I am confident that the measures we have and are putting in place will safeguard people as best we can that continues to be our main priority. Strategies currently being undertaken include: - No handshakes or physical greetings - We will maintain 1.5m distance or 4m2 from our clients. - Disposable gloves will be worn for the duration of services being undertaken. - Extra disposable PPE will be worn subject to availability. - We will be Increasing our equipment cleaning schedule. - Time inside homes will be limited to no more than 10 mins per 5mx5m room. What our client’s can do to help? - Disinfect all door handles, cupboard door/ drawer knobs prior to your technicians arrival. - Pay accounts by direct deposit, cheque or by phone. - To put all children’s toys, pet toys and bowls away or moved away from the walls. - Ensure that the bare minimum amount of people are inside, if possible wait outside during visits. We will be required to reschedule your service if: - You or any of your household have returned from overseas or interstate travel in the past 14 days. - You or your household members are in self-isolation. - You or your household are displaying any flu-like symptoms. - You or close family have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19. Please stay safe.

07.01.2022 Nothing like a warm November evening to get the termites excited! Alates (flying termites) are on a colonising flight to find a mate and start a new colony. With the increased rainfall through spring 2020, we can expect an increase in colonising flights over the next few months.

07.01.2022 We were treating a house on a concrete slab in Murray Bridge for termites. Wasn't overly hard to find the entry point over the slab edge! Wish they were all this straight forward.

03.01.2022 What's hiding in your walls? This timber framed wall looked fine at first glance! After a visual inspection some areas of high moisture were found, so a decision was made to pull a sheet of wall lining off the back of this wall. Only one wall stud was not damaged!
